It won't bring anything new to the table, but it looks like a solid choice for an established series. I just wish they would've gone with a different title, something more original than Go or Survive.

The 'no indicators' in hard mode sound like a good idea. I wish for hard mode they would also put more of a puzzle element into the language deciphering instead of just walking up to the object, pressing X and boom, +35exp. Kind of like Assassin's Creed 2 used to have the puzzles with paintings etc.

I personally find the entire language discussion a bit overrated. The menus are in English, subtitles are in English... you will always get pulled back from that feeling of 'immersion'. Of course it's a nice touch, but it's not the most important part of the game.

It looks like they are taking Shadow of the Tomb Raider more into RPG territory, which could be a good thing if they can avoid the generic fetch quests. I'm just hoping for more discovery and puzzles in general.

I'll probably get a Switch further down the line, but for now I still have a lot of unplayed games sitting in my PS4 library. And I am of course hoping for a price drop at a certain point (but we're talking Nintendo here). Which is also why I am still on the fence with the Switch: the exclusives are probably great and worth their money (I'm looking forward to playing Octopath Traveler), but most third party games are older games that you can easily purchase at a lower price on a different console. And Nintendo hardly ever gives any significant discounts.

But really, Gamespot, the 11 best exclusives? What kind of number is '11' for compiling a list of best anything?

Balls on Tariq Lacy's part. It's good to see there are people in the industry who still have integrity. I assume most people working in the industry do, especially when they haven't really made a name for themselves (yet). But it takes lot of courage to come out with a story like that: your job depends on it, and in whistleblowing cases like this, often your entire future career.

Nevermind the usernames. My question is: will we ever be able to use custom avatars? I know there have been concerns about people uploading lewd pictures, but there's got to be the possibility of having a moderator system where you can get your avatar verified, no?

10million is too ambitious for any game that is not Pokemon, Mario, GTA or Call of Duty. I still remember the same situation with the Tomb Raider reboot, where 6 million (I think?) was considered too ambitious. I read that TR has eventually reached 8.5million sales, but that's taking into account releases on different platforms, 2 console generations and countless price reductions/sales.

I will buy RE7 eventually when it goes for $20. I enjoyed some of the installments, I like a good horror movie/game, but not enough to pay full price for it.

Well, talk about time wasted. SE should've just left it alone, released the planned DLCs and be done with it. I played the game and found it 'ok', but the carnival and now the assassin's festival are just some random mini-games. And unless they ADD an entire chapter (about things that are going on off-screen), I really don't feel the need to replay any of this. FFIX, a 17-year-old game that was just re-released on PS4, still blows this one out of the water any day.

@luert: Yet they did find resources to pump out some extra DLC? Totally sounded like a starving project.
