While I love the Thief series more than any other game series, I have my guard up for this one... It looks a lot like Dishonored, and that's not necessarily a bad thing because Dishonored was a great game, but it seems to be incorporating a more modern setting, which is a little disappointing given the old Thief's dark medieval/mechanical/Victorian setting. But that's just based on the few screenshots I've seen. Then again, Thief I and II can't be bested, and I wouldn't expect them to be.

Wow, pick the one thing Tomb Raider sucked at, and forget about the only thing people played the game for.

Some of my fondest memories were of playing the old Thief games, specifically 1 and 2. and what I loved most about those games is that you could go through entirely without killing anyone, and the hardest difficulty required that anyway. But what I loved even more was skulking around only to be corned and forced to pull out my sword and clumsily fight a horde of guards only to narrowly escape with my life. Garret is not a swordsman, but if you can manage to successfully fight off two or three guards, it was such an accomplishing feeling.

This article is something I would expect to see on a personal blog, not a gaming news site. This isn't why I come here...

I think Take-Two are doing what billion-dollar companies love to do: sue, sue, and sue. And L.A. Noire is a pretty unoriginal name for a game anyway. It could be anything Noire... in addition, Darabont is a pretty cool guy, partly responsible for the direction and writing of the first 2 seasons of The Walking Dead, which is one of the best TV shows to ever be created.

American McGee is a fascinating man who makes fascinating games. Good read. I wish Spicy Horse all the best as they continue to make games I enjoy.

You know what, Ninja Theory has been getting flak for this game and Dante's new look since day one, and not once have they backed down or given in to the criticism. They continued making the game they wanted to make. And you know, we're only hearing negative feedback from semi-fans that haven't and won't ever play this game. Dante's got a new haircut... so what? Really, so what? The old Dante had his run and a great one it was. Time for something different. This market is so overflowing with sameness. If you don't like the game, shut up and don't play it. Easy as Goblin Pie.

@killerzboy010 That's a really tasteless statement. I pity you.

@Stiler I couldn't agree more. I've been playing FarCry 3 on the hardest difficulty and the AI hasn't been too hard to outsmart. They're just hard to outgun at times.

@nurnberg It should be noted that Roberts used Kickstarter as an addition to his original pledging service. a good amount of the money that was being pledged was through his Robert's Space Industries website. The team thought that using Kickstarter would net them more notice and ease of access, ans so it did.
