I wouldn't consider BioWare the best example of art in gaming. And if the community is this unhappy with Mass Effect 3's ending than something is definitely wrong here. The fans have a point.
I might pre-order a game ever 5 years or so. I only pre-order games that I know have qualities I will enjoy and whether or not the game is well-received is not important to me. For instance, I pre-ordered Silent Hill: Downpour because I love the Silent Hill universe and I've had fun with all entries in the series, even if a few of the games weren't so good. It was a chance I was willing to take based on years and years of continued enjoyment with the series.
In my honest opinion, Prototype wasn't a great game. Prototype 2 won't be a great game. So to remedy this attempt to cash in on a crappy sequel, Activision offers us loyal fans "extra" ways to hand them our money for essentially nothing in return. I wonder how much it costs them to make a digital comic, throw a few MP4's on a CD, and guarantee us DLC that will probably suck...
These graphics are nothing to write home about. I was playing games years ago that were easier on the eyes. For me, the Dragon Age franchise marked a different, more money-driven direction for Bioware.
