I think I've had one game crash since I got my new PC a year ago. Obviously, that game was BF4. Perhaps OP needs help using a computer.

Gameplay doesn't sell games. Shiny graphics and million dollars worth of hype sell games. This is what happens when you let 2 companies have complete control over the console market. They are able to monopolize the industry and promote a certain type of game they know will sell well, regardless of score.
