PC is not the master race

Okay let's get some things out of the way. PC has the best performance, graphics, potential of all consoles. xone and ps4 can't even hope to come close to its power. But the problem is, so few developers actually put their heart and soul into optimizing their games for the pc. Developers just care about consoles cuz that's where the money's at. And not to mention the piracy problem on the pc. You can say that consoles are indeed holding back the pc platform. Just don't understand why so many games are poorly optimized for pc, like da inquisition for example. If consoles didn't exist, pc gaming would be epic.

So what I'm trying to say is that despite pc being the most powerful system, it just doesn't have the games to push it to its true potential. PC gamers are stuck with poorly optimized games. But let's see, maybe the Witcher 3 will change that. (I'm not a pc gamer btw. I only have a 360 lol).

So, pc is not the master race because what is the use of a super powerful machine when the games that it's going to run is anything but? Oh and let's not forget the lack of exclusives.

Perhaps I am wrong. Would love it if someone could point out the flaws in my logic.

DA Inquisition is optimized great for PC, what are you talking about?

The vast majority of games released in 2014 were actually optimized very well for PC. AC Unity is the only glaring exception but that game ran like shit across the board. Today it at least runs consistently above 60 (without AA) on my PC.

Even a poorly optimized PC game is better than any console game.

You might have had a point if every "poorly optimized," pc game didn't run much, much better than the console versions.

Why is there an anti PC thread every other day with absolutely no concrete evidence and yet more made up console gamer "facts". This stuff alone decreases the already low content value of SW to all new lows.

Nope, I played when the game launched. My 970 could handle Ultra at 50-60 (2x MSAA) FPS which I thought was pretty good considering how great the game looked.

@princeofshapeir: Just out of curiosity... how big is your screen? I'm asking cuz, if u have such epic graphics but have a small screen its kind of a waste. When I used to play on my laptop I'd connect it via hdmi cable to my 63 inch tv. It was awesome. Not sure how I'd achieve the same feat with a desktop computer though.

Most TVs have a VGA port for connecting to desktop or laptop PC. HDMI can also be used. But, I much prefer the VGA port.

My monitor's native resolution is 1920x1200. Sometimes I connect my PC to my 50'' HDTV via a long HDMI cable.

You have the choice of bringing either the PC or the HDTV nearer. My desk can handle up to a 50" HDTV with plenty of room to spare.

I sometimes use a 42" TV (from another room) as my monitor (set on my desk) when the wife allows it. Most of the time, I use a 24" 1080p TV and a dedicated PC monitor as a multimonitor setup.

I don't really need to do much to undermine your argument, as you executed it so perfectly. Back up your statements in order to lend more credence to what you say.

Master Race is a retard term used only by those who feel insecure about their platform for not having anything worth to play.

Anyway, yeah, the PC is no doubt the best gaming platform in tech specs, but like i said, the term is dumb.

I guess I'm not digging the pc exclusives because of my taste in games. Some in that thread were awesome though like overwatch but yeah couldn't find anything mindblowing though. But yeah I guess pc wins as long as it runs multiplat games better than all other platforms (which 9/10 times it should unless the developers optimized the pc version poorly which is kinda my argument in this thread. That developers arent putting enough love into the pc versions.)

The PC is a guest in the video games industry because it doesn't participate in the hardware generations. It incrementally improves, and has no set limits as to what constitutes a valid PC. They don't even agree among themselves.

Its a myth that PC games dont sell well or piracy hurts sales. If the game is well done, PC gamers will buy it at a reasonable price. They may be more frugal, but they typically buy a lot more.

You do realize having such a big screen reduces your pixel density and thus reduces the image quality, right?

A lot of the time these "poorly optimized games" aren't even poorly optimized, it's just a bunch of potatoes who don't meet the minimum requirements complaining about performance problems or people who don't know how to update and maintain their PC's...

If a shit is on uplay, it's not a PC game, it's a filthy console game being emulated.
