[QUOTE="J-REAL"]I bought both of these game the same day and I started playing Bioshock first. Bioshock is great and I was all in it and still am. I havent beaten it yet but the other day I install stalker. I wasnt going to buy it or give it a try because of some of the reviews and graphics, but I have to say those reviews were wrong on this one. Glad I gave it a shot. This game is the BOMB! Ever since I start playing I havent put it down and I forgot all about Bioshock! Im going back to Bioshock once I beat stalker because right now stalker is making me late for work every morning because I cant stop playing!Skullheart

I grew quite bored with STALKER the first time I beat it, and the same went for Bioshock.

I thought both of them were...lacking.

i'm with ya. i feel both games were a little overhyped. but at least i had some fun with bioshock. i hated stalker. played maybe an hour and that was it.

really really realistic body physics :)Lonelynight

that's exactly what i was going to say- although, we may be thinking different body physics. while it's not possible to do it with today's hardware, sometime in the future i would like to see every major artery, vein, nerve, and organ mapped internally so that when a bullet hits you, the computer can determine at what angle you were hit and whether it got anything major and determine whether you die, are wounded, or crippled. if the bullet hits a major artery or organ there can be a set amount of time that you have before you die where a medic can come by and patch you up.

for example, if you are shot and it hits your femoral artery, most people would think this is only a minor wound by todaysgame standards since it's in the leg. in real life, if this is cut, you can die extremely fast. so in the game, the medic would only have so long to get to you to patch you up or you would die.

you could come up with all kinds of instances that pertain to the type of injury one sustains and come up with appropriate consequences for each.

i gotta say that i thought this game was awesome when i first started, but it got old really fast. if you look past the pretty graphics and interesting concept of just fighting and not resource building, all you have is a paper-rock-scissors based RTS. each unit has it's strength and weakness when confronting enemies. there really isn't that much skill required-just make sure if you're going into a "paperfight" to bring the "scissors". calling in air stirkes and artillery takes some skill and being able to share points with your teammates so they can call in stuff adds some dimension but other than that, i thought the gameplay was VERY repetative.

honestly, it all depends on the server and the people you were playin in. i've played many times where i think i got around 350-400 in one game simply because i'm the only one the seemed to know what the hell they were doing. this is a major flaw with this game in my opinion. there needs to be a tutorial so people know what to do. (among other flaws)

if you get in a server where people just run around like a chicken with its head chopped off and you're the only one that realizes that you get more points by completing objectives, you can easily get 300XP. this is not to belittle your acompmlishment- it's a good score, but a lot depends on the idiots you play with.

i am really disappointed with this game. it will probably get better once i know what the heck i'm doing, but i really don't think a game should require you to read a bunch of articles to know what to do. i have no idea what the objectives are or what to look for on the map. i don't know what all the different guns do and how you're supposed to use them (ex. with the sniper class, you can depoly something that i have no idea what it does or where i'm supposed to even deploy it).

and a major issue is with the quick chat menu. in battlefield, you just click Q and it gives you a bunch of options that you can select just by moving your mouse. with this game you click a button (middlemouse on mine) and you get a TON of headings and subheadings. there's no way you can give an order or ask for something in the heat of battle. you'd have to stop, click the button and navigate through a bunch of crap. this alone, takes a lot of the cooperation aspect out of the gamesincenooneusesthequickchat.

i'm sure some of these problems could be solved with just playing a bunch of times and looking like a complete noob for a bunch of rounds until you figure out the guns and objectives.butseriously,theyshouldincludeatutorialwiththefullgame.
