your system specs worry me a little- especially if a nuke hits. i have a pentium D915, 2gb RAM, and a 7900GS and it runs fine until a nuke hits. i think i have it on medium to high settings so i'm sure i could rectify this but the slow down is only for 1 second where it stops and then catches back up to the action.

as far as the game...i still haven't made up my mind on it. i would definately try the demo that's out. that'll tell you if it works on your system and give you a taste of what the game is like. i like how there's no resource building and points that you can spend on special attacks and the graphics are really good but after that it just feels like playing paper rock scissors. everything unit has a major weakness and strength; you just have to combine units together to counter the weaknesses. and that is where the cooperation comes into play when playing online- but good luck getting people to work together. to me, after that, there just isn't that much. so i'm really on the fence on how i feel about this game.

get psychonauts. one of the best games ever made in my opinion. everthing about it is creative and since it's from Tim Schafer, you know it's gonna be a little wierd/innovative. Pretty humorous too. i swear that game would have sold about 5 times as much as it did if it just had a little better marketing when it was released.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R., after all the years in development, and all the hype, i ended up getting what seemed like nothing more than an unpolished beta.iwilson1296

thank god i'm not the only one. that and F.E.A.R. i swear i played the whole game in an hour. same ol' gameplay repeated over and over.

ya know, if i didn't have the hardware to run it on par to the 360, i'd dumb down the graphics a lot just to make it playable- even if it looked poor compared to the 360. the key factor here for me is KEYBOARD + MOUSE. i absolutely cannot stand playing shooters on a console with a controler. it's the main reason i don't have a console yet. if i could stand to wait 2 years- i'd probably never even get an xbox360 since all of their games that i would want come out on the pc 2-3 years after they come out on the 360.

haven't played TF2 but i have played FF and i gotta say i'm not that impressed. to me it just seemed like chaos. everything was flying around and exploding. i could hardly see the enemy long enough to get a shot off before i was blown up by one of the 50 rockets/grenades going off. maybe i just got in some bad servers filled with rocket noobs; either way, the first impression wasn't enough to keep me coming back. to each, his own.

someone please tell me... is there any VOIP in this game??? why the hell would you make a objective-based online multiplayer game where team play is an absolute MUST and not have a way to speak to your teammates to form some sort of strategy? i looked but never found any VOIP.

also, since i brought up teammates, why can't you form squads? this isn't as big of a flaw to me as the lack of a mic, but it still makes things difficult. there are other problems i could bring up but i mainly just wanted to voice my concern about an online game that doesn't have support for a mic.

i really don't get the comparison to halo. i liked halo and i hate ET:QW. QW is so unpolished that it just makes everything stupid. how in the hell do you make a cooperative mp game and not have VOIP????? that, right there, tells me everything i need to know about that stupid game.

Dude, the differences in DX10 and DX9 for crysis are phenomenal.

Breaking trees is just one part, there are a lot of interactions that would alter gameplay. Its not only flashy graphical gimmicks.

ElectricNZ

i'm pretty sure that's not right. i'm almost positive that they said the destructable items will be in DX9 and 10 in the SINGLE player game- just not the multiplayer game (unless they changed this).

and from all the pictures and videos i've seen that show the difference b/t dx9 and dx10, the differences were minor in my opinion. mainly just better lighting and shadows.

in all honesty, i don't think the mp will be that good anyway. the mp in farcry sucked and they're already dropping a bunch of things and changing a lot of things for the mp for crysis.

i'm sorry, but that a bunch of BS. a 7900GS is plenty of card it's basically a 7900GT- just a little slower. i personally have a 7900 GS(fromXFX) and it works fine on this game. high detail and everything- IT'S NOT THE CARD. to say a card that is not that old is out of date is crazy. i'd get the beta drivers that nvidia just released about a week or two ago- that's what i have.
