I have to agree. They have reversed everything I hated. I said last month that there was no way I was going to buy the new Xbox if I were forced to have the spy device mandatory.

Well, looks like my main concern (and it was a stickler for me) has been rectified. It is a shame that I still have to buy it bundled in though. But the hate is gone now.......

Being almost the same is great. All things being even, I can go ahead and buy the one without the mandatory home spying device (kinect).

If Xbox offers a box without, it will be the one I buy. Otherwise, I am going to get the PS4.

I have deleted all Zynga games still attached to my Facebook. Also blocked them from sending any future requests/newsfeeds.

Not a fanboy. I know they will not drop the mandatory kinect. I fully expect to get a PS4. And you are quick to use the word fanboy

I am glad that they cut the eye. I don't want it. I also do not like the Kinect. I don't feel I should pay $100 more to help subsidize a mandatory item that I do not even want.

So, if I have this straight...... I can watch tv thru my tv. OR, I can pay $50 extra and watch tv thru the xbox?

My problem with the Xbox 1 is that I do not want to help subsidize their Kinect. I do not want to use the Kinect, so why do I want to pay $100 more so I can be forced to use a mandatory Kinect ??
