@dark_zero_86 @liononzion Not when I play with him. My good friend and I used to get loaded and play melee all day. I've put thousands of hours into melee and can pretty much destroy anybody in that game lol

I always used Link in smash bros and I was upset at how weak he was in Brawl. He was nerfed and it looks like they may have done that again in Smash WiiU. I hope I'm wrong though.

In Melee Link was one of the best, he was quick, had range with his attacks and his movements were tight and precise. Young Link was even better because he was faster and more crisp. In brawl he was slow and his movements were sloppy. I wish they would have made him more like Melee and less like Brawl. I mean Jesus I would settle for the same moveset as they gave him in Melee. Same character model too.

@supershmo Yup it makes more sense in a turn based game like pokemon, not so much sense in a fighting game like smash. He already said they're not putting it in the game anyways but I just think the main fighting mechanics shouldn't have random elements like that in general, if anything put random elements in the level design

I like the idea of level hazards and they have always been good in smash bros, but they can make them even more complex. Also the specials in Brawl were great and made you engage when they appeared on the screen and was a good tide turner in battle.

Personally I think all they have to do is more of the same, with better graphics, and melee like combat it should be a deff buy for any smash fan. Its like the online Melee I always wanted and now get to play in HD

@sun_spirit @supershmo True it wasn't that bad in brawl, but I think its a bit unneccessary tbh. Melee was great without it and smash is already non linear enough of a fighting game what with the party balls, rabbit ears, and baseball bats. If they want variation they should do what you said and create level hazards, not put it in the fighting mechanics, did tripping really make the experience more engaging? Not really. Howbout some new and varied items instead

would be awesome if it tied into the campaign. Like how as big boos you're the leader of a private militia so the Multiplayer is you and a few of your militia soldiers doing an infiltration mission in order to secure supplies for "Mother Base" ala Peace Walker. And by doing online matches it helps you build up "Mother Base" in the Campaign. Now THAT would be awesome. I'd much prefer that to a competative MP
