its disappointing that in recent total wars you cant play as factions as you take them over like the total wars of old, im sure its still fantastic but having that element of conquering a tribe or whatever then playing as them was so cool.
I'd love to see a video on the creators of the music behind Streets of rage (Motohiro Kawashima and Yuzo Koshiro), I've read they were really introvert people and anything on them would be fascinating, plus the games themselves (1-3) were ace.
such a shame because the graphics and modelling are superb. trailer was awesome but i've played the first one with a mate and the reviewer is right, it's no different and fighting zombies is near pointless at times.
there are free to play games with a lot more depth though, what about tribes and the upcoming end of nations. I haven't spent a dime on tribes but i still enjoy it and although i may not be contributing financially to the company having players like me will keep the servers full and fun for those that do pay.to say that playing games doesn't add character to you is a bit much too, it depends completely on the type of game, strategy games like SC2 have a lot to offer intellectually beyond "just" playing the game, watching the game and reading the stories about the people involved in the scenes does enrich a person.
i think we should put them all on a battle royale island and then nobody would be complaining. at worst you get rid of really slimy characters who are trying to **** some other people over
@jma1024x not that I own a wii but I'm curious as to how nintendo failed to make online console multiplayer games popular? when I think of nintendo games almost all of them cater for offline(solo?) play so what exactly did they fail with? the whole "failing" seems like a gross exaggeration especially as i think the wii sold more than the ps3 and 360 put together. I don't know how you can be so sure that console online games would not have succeeded without it (especially given massive games like COD BF killzone and thats just naming the fps) are still massive, AT MOST you could say XBL MIGHT not have been where it is now without halo but even that is pretty speculative and to say it influenced online fps is a bit much too given that huge games like quake arena, unreal tournament and counter strike came before it. halo's a solid and good game but I'm not sure it did what people here are giving it credit for. i own an xbox btw =) (just incase i get flamed)
considering how little they had to work with i found mega drive music much more evocative, the only company that seems to carry that forward is nintendo. Then again its probably quite hard to ahve good music and dialogue going on at the same time. music from quake 2, system shock 2 and C&C (pre C&C3) still conjures up memories as soon as i hear anything remotely similar
