@CloudXentar but hes not trying to be a game crit or analyser, he said exactly what he likes lol
I just play these games cause I like to see tig ol biddies bouncing around. Besides from that looks like another Japanese fighter
They should've just made a big DLC for like $15 or $20. I am not seeing anything new with DOA 5. It's pretty much just like DOA 4. Not worth the full price. Looks like I'm gonna pic this up on the first day and be the same rank I am now in DOA 4. lol! And Tekken is far better than DOA. lol In Tekken the characters actually look like they have a fighting style. And DOA is much more of a spamfest. lol So many people spam counters it's crazy. You can't actually play the game because of all that spamming. lol And DOA is a button masher big time. I like DOA. But it's not better than Tekken. DOA is a casual fighting game. And people try to make it a big competitive fighting game. And I really wish they would change DOA's ranking system and how ranked matches are done. Don't know if they have in 5 or not. Haven't seen much about online play. I have been playing DOA since DOA2 Hardcore on PS2. And I have been playing Tekken since Tekken 2 on PS1.
I like how la maraposa or what ever was called her real name Lisa Hamilton. Maybe its because shes gonna be more a DOATEC scientist than a wrestler. Or maybe no one could pronounce her name so they just changed it. Either way I am hyped.
looks nice but is Tekken Tag 2 and DOA 5 different nuff from previous games to warrant a purchase :/
Jeez they look just as dolly as they did in 2005
And it's good to see that the combat is still as it was back in 1998!
Yes I played the demo on an old PS1 demo disk yesterday.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Dead or Alive 5, and my birthday all in the same month. September is going to be awesome.
I have CE's for both pre-ordered. Can't wait.
I can understand people's complaints about gameplay. I can understand people preferring Tekken or VF over DOA for gameplay reasons. I may not necessarily agree with them, but I understand their views. But graphics? What? Are we looking at the same game here? This game visually puts every other 3D fighter to shame. A lot of people seem to need their eyes checked.
That's a DOA game alright. The area is falling and the only thing these girls care about is winning the match XD
That type of games has got old, it is not so fun punching and kicking and that all what you do I am not saying its bad especially for those who like old shool game but they should make a little bit new these kind of are like the history of and the thing that changed is the graphics.
So... What's so special about DOA5??? Appart from breast physics of course. It looks dated on engine and is not so impressive on the graphics department.
If you say that this game is just another Japanese fighter, excluding the bounciness, then you fail as an analyzer and game critic.
@Kyoshiro19 How can you say nothing is new? First off, their are new moves for every fighter. All the stages are new, and the physics and falling stages are brand new and like nothing any other fighter has seen.
Also, the counter window has been shortened. As you can see from this video, there was only like one counter landed per round basically. There were more grappling as a result.
Yes, DOA is somewhat casual, that is part of the appeal. However, the top ranked fighters are not casual, and there is a big gap in skill between casual and hardcore in the DOA franchise.
@Kyoshiro19 Are you kidding. Tekken is the biggest masher of a game in the history of mashing. All 3d fighters are the same. Mash, mash, mash, mash, mash, boob jiggle, mash, mash. Play Street Fighter or BlazBlue.
@Kyoshiro19 I'd say which game is better kind of depends on what style of fighter you prefer. I would never consider Tekken better than DOA, because of the fact that DOA's style suits me better. And I've played every iteration since doa2 and tekken3. The arguments about spamfests apply to all fighters. If you're any good at one, spamfests shouldn't bother you.
There is truth in the argument that DOA5 doesn't bring many new things to the table though, since part 4. I'm also sure that goes for all the other fighter franchizes as well as other categories of games. It's a weak argument at this point.
@Kyoshiro19 All you Tekken fanboys threatened by DOA, trolling videos and forums, are having the absolute opposite effect. It really tells you about the quality of the game when someone gets this scared of a rival.
@03469186617 lol kid ...kids nowdays r really stupid struggling behind the keyboard for whats company or game is better ....grow up ...tekken is not a bad game anyways but it cannot be compared with dead or alive ....because tekken stopped in time and is the same game since tekken 3 ...tekken gameplay ,animation, characters movements are old and unrealistic...sucks how every blow u deliver in tekken throws the opponent in the air ,so u do the combo before opponent falls lol...the only thing i like in tekken is the replay value ..alot of things to customize n game mods....
@gamester73 street fighter killed its self with all the re releases
@Deadly_Nemesis That's a exaggeration on your part. They added power moves that slow down to show the impact. They added Virtua fighter characters. They finally added a Tae kwon do character. The graphics have been improved just not by a quantum leap. I suggest you move on to PC the consoles that are out now aren't gonna be doing Unreal 4.
@Deadly_Nemesis Street Fighter IV plays almost exactly as Super Street Fighter II, Ryu has the same exact fireball, uppercut and hurricane kick, so what's your point? Are we seeing the same game?the characters look far more human like than these ever did back in the previous games.
@Salt_AU this is the funniest comment .I have seen all day
@rideru :areyoufuckingkiddingme: Look a video of DoA U2. The characters looked better because of the light effects, maybe the arenas look better now but not the graphics. They didn't improve graphics for this game, maybe some things but not graphics. If you compare how DoA U2 looks on a Xbox to this in a PS3, graphics are not an improvement.
This is the kind of work Japan do, fast but not the best
@AngelCage-2 you are one of meny idiots that contribute to the shitty state of this generation's gaming industry. Do us all a favour and stop playing games please.
@AngelCage-2 dated on engine... look at a tekken match and tell me its more entertaining than this kid,
lol!! Well someone can't read. Did I not say I liked DOA? Did you not read the part that says how long I've been playing them both? I know what I'm talking about. I'm not a fanboy. I call it as it is.. DOA is a casual fighter. There isn't much much new in DOA 5. Not worth the full price. I have no reason to be scared of DOA. That's just stupid to be scared of a video game. I'm getting DOA 5 and Tekken Tag 2. I like them both, but Tekken is a lot better.
@Stardust7 hahahah lol your a hypocrite your doing the same thing tekken boy did
@ExplicitMike @Deadly_Nemesis They already had a Tae Kwon Do character in DoA Ultimate 2, it was Ein. And yeah, it still looks dolly, even a bit more 'soapy', I think that's the term. The gameplay hasn't changed a lot, wich is excellente, this game has GREAT combos. But that power move thing, not digging it, that is and exaggeration on the developers part. The arenas look cool being so interactive, like in DoAU2 (I think that's the best DoA) but I insist, the power move is way too much
Wait, he points out the main problem of this generation(Stagnation) and you condemn him and say it is he who is the problem? What?
@West123 nahh....i just told the truth...i just don't understand haters...seems they are jealous or something lol ...
@solidsnake50 Ups, my bad jajaja I'll shut the fuck up now
@Deadly_Nemesis If stagnation is a problem then you can look forward to the future. No more of the same. Which to me seems like it sucks based on all these reports. Free to play, Mobile market, Digital only games, Motion controls. Origin only, incomplete games, and more DLC abuse. Yeah I rather have an stagnation problem. At least then I won't spend as much.
