This is actually a pretty huge announcement from an industry perspective. They're also talking about new IPs which makes it more interesting.

Funny when you think about it. When Disney starts buying up every major brand in the business, fans get more and more excited about the possibility of one American company owning everything. When a Chinese company people don't really know starts investing heavily all over the world, fans get... worried? :)

They're almost definitely relying on a lot of assets from China as is, but an arrangement like this is way more consistent.
SE already dipped their toes into this previously with the Asia focused Type-0 mobile release via Perfect World. Lets see what comes out of this one.
