Gaming is saved.

Yeah, I'll be buying this day one.

There really isn't any game like this.

Partisans - a new Commandos style game from the creators of Silent Storm, Blitzkrieg.

More Commandos-like games are more than welcome.

This is actually a pretty huge announcement from an industry perspective. They're also talking about new IPs which makes it more interesting.

Tencent dominating the industry... please explain how that would be a good thing in anyway.

Funny when you think about it. When Disney starts buying up every major brand in the business, fans get more and more excited about the possibility of one American company owning everything. When a Chinese company people don't really know starts investing heavily all over the world, fans get... worried? :)

It isn't a good thing to be honest. It's lowkey promoting laziness from companies. Instead of studying the market to get a foothole in there, they just jump on the bandwagon of Tencent. SMH.

They're almost definitely relying on a lot of assets from China as is, but an arrangement like this is way more consistent.

SE already dipped their toes into this previously with the Asia focused Type-0 mobile release via Perfect World. Lets see what comes out of this one.

How does that in any way implies that pc are dying??

Beware of sarcasm.

China will rule the industry in no time.

They are arguagbly already doing it.

@kozio: Awesome so it will get an English version!

Fire Princess looks cool too, it seems to be somewhat inspired by Nier Automata. It seems the game supports Dualshock 4 controllers too.

Speaking of which have you seen the news on Xuan-Yuan Sword 7? It's the first new game that isn't a spin off in a long time. DOMO made the switch to Unreal Engine 4 and man does the game look good. I wonder if it will be turn based like the previous games or action combat.

I remember seeing the teaser trailer last year. It's amazing and inspiring to see how far they've come with this game.

Screenshots look absolutely stunning! I hope they take advantage of Unreal Engine 4.

i want it to be realtime. Such monsters and world don't deserve turn based.

Can confirm it's action combat and this will get an English version.

@NoodleFighter: Can confirm there will be an English version. Seems like this is based on the Song Dynasty vs Mongols.

From what I know we can play as the Mongols. They're now a 15 people dev team.

It’s a third person hack'n'slash action game that a student in Taiwan made called Fire Princess (Yan Ji).

Game is being developed for a year now. It's supposed to be for PC.

PCs do what Sonydont. All their games are belong to us. :D

Jokes aside, it's a great job for games preservation. They've made some awesome progress with this emu.

I'm not surprised Ryse still holds up so well considering how great Crytek was on the technology side. Ryse had been in some form of development for about 7 years, going through various prototypes. I think people underestimate how technically accomplished Ryse was and still is.

@vaeh said:

It's kinda funny how the combat in God of War looks very similar to Ryse, yet people bashed Ryse for it (being repetitive) and now people praise GoW for its combat. God of War combat isn't that much better.

It not as bad as people made out, you can only fight human in Ryse so it suffers some repetition. It's very strange every Crytek game have some supernatural element to fight with, for example Farcry, Crysis, even Hunt, but not Ryse. A sequel could have been incredible if it addressed the shortcomings of the first one.

Looks like James Benson (designer & animator of Ori and the Blind Forest, Firewatch) got his original dream after all :D

For anyone that doesn't know: Benson's failure was his inability to get a job at Valve. http://www.gdcvault.com/play/1024905/Animation-Bootcamp-Animation (starts from 11:04)

Finally! They've been teasing Serious Sam 4 for years now.

I'm gonna go ahead and make a couple of predictions based on the trailer: 1) it'll be open world 2) you'll be customizing a vehicle at some point.

3) It takes place in France (the road signs are french ones, that point to "Camping" and "Cité").

Also the Steam page tags say this game will have a level editor. Hype!

Heck even Serious Sam VR games are better than Doom VFR.

Croteam is the pinnacle of VR studios right now. Every game they put out is awesome.
