The problem is that Gamespot needs to go back to adding decimal points to their score. Not all 9/10 scored games are the same. I love the game....but 10/10 would mean the game has to be perfect, and it's not. Would I be ok if they gave it a 9.2? Yes. But I hear what you are saying in terms of not all 9/10 scored games being the same.
This reminds me of The Division's PvP....but with no benefit to those who "go rogue". Only concern I would have, is as with the Division, what happens if you are shooting/attacking someone and another player jumps in front of you, either by accident....or on purpose as happened with The Division. If it's the latter, then the player's buddies will stomp on you, claiming the bounty, when you never were trying to shoot at or kill the player who died. If they can assure this can't happen, then I'm fine with this.
I've changed my opinion. Gone from a 7.5 to a 6. My bad. I should have waited until I finished the last mission before writing anything. Last mission glitched like crazy. AI running in place, object floating in midair. And then when I did finish the game (PS4 on Sniper Elite), I go to try the multilayer. Disconnected from server, disconnected from server, over and over and over. Got to play one time. Just a shame what this could have been if the company didn't rush this out.
Fair Review. I love sniping in all shooters and had fun with V2. This IS the best "sniper-centric" series out there. It's better than V2, but it could have been SO MUCH MORE. Did the developers run out of money? Why do they make it seem like they OVER focused on what they are good at (slo-mo bullet cams) and forgot to invest in other parts of the game. I would give it a 7.5 (I don't do whole numbers). Best in series, glad I bought it, but DAMN! I wanted this to be a groundbreaker.
