@yboucher Also, sorry for the new comment, when i got SMB back in 1985 a, I was 6 and b, it took months to finish. I had skyrim down in a week and then I was bored.
I vaguely recall Microsoft saying "Just deal with it" about Internet Explorer being the only viable web browser PC option at one point too...
Didn't some judge tell M$ to suck it shortly after that?
Not quite the same thing, but in that case and in this one, M$ is clearly trying to beat you into submission by forcing unneeded components on a core experience.
Actually, I didn't care about any of those titles at the beginning, but they all turned out pretty good actually.
But I know and you know that what people have been clamoring for for years are old core title remakes and sequels. Games like a Final Fantasy 7 remake, a new Chrono title, a new Mana title; that's what will put SE back up towards the top. That's what many of their fans' are asking for, including myself. And we're being ignored.
You would think that they might've posted over a 10b yen gain if they had simply released that Final Fantasy 7 remake everyone has been clamoring for for over a decade. They don't listen to their fans, and they lose money. I don't feel bad for them. I used to love these guys, too.
I am tentatively excited about this game. I didn't start playing BF3 until very very recently, but I started way back with 1942 when it was new. That said, I'm hopeful that the games single player campaign will be exciting and compelling offering varied and intuitive gameplay....
The adult in me says the above.
The gamer in me (yeah yeah, the juvenile gamer) says the following:
Also, I hope they fix the fracking gunplay model from BF3 because no mofo on earth can take a 12ga round to the face and live. FFS if you want it to be realistic, we need 1 use parachutes, 1 shot kills, limb debilitation, no people on the radar, a steath class that works....the list goes on. No "out of bounds" would be nice too.
