well, we know the game will take place in many countries (regions). Cuba (central america), Afghanistan (Asia), Somewhere in Africa and possibly europe with that hospital clearly being in Cyprus.
I wouldn't be surprised. And its not like we will be exploring an entire country. I meant like small regions in several countries that involve the MGS storyline.
and they made the FOX engine for the sole purpose of this game. The only reason mgs4 required all that data was because the previous engine they used was very outdated (still good lol)

Last year when they first revealed ground zeroes. Kojima said that you will be able to get on a helicopter and fly to other countries. All in an open world environment.
