@Jamievrcade Good luck, and I can't wait to see something like this in my city too. On the other hand I'm a simulator freak, so even just one Oculus Rift in a static chair would be a dream come true for me. I think that VR will finally resurrect the simulator genre. FPS games are a very different monster and I'm glad that you decided to push the limits now, when VR is in its infancy. We need controllers for VR and a better motion alternative. The Genie has been let out of the bottle. There's no going back now...

@awhite33 They don't just support it. They basically invented it. Few know that the first ever always-online single player game was Silent Hunter 5, which was a massacred guinea pig, rushed to release and unpatched afterwards because of (wait for it....) poor sales. Ubisoft is in my view worse than EA in many aspects.

@Senor_Kami

Was your internet good enough to prevent the famous Diablo 3 error? Were you able to play Sim City in the first days after launch? Your internet is not the issue. They are not ready for this. They know it, but they don't care. And if they don't care about providing you with good service, they don't care about you at all. All they care about is milking as much money with as little effort as possible and having as much control as they can over your wallet.

Go ahead, Ubi. Soon enough only pirates will still be playing your games. Go Steam, GOG, Gamestop and Kickstarter! We already have everything we need.

Oh god YES! I used to grow cities in Tycoon Transport like this. I really hope this is gonna be a good game. Can't wait.

Gamespot, why don't you advertise this game a bit? If I hadn't clicked the "coming soon" button I never would've known about it. I know you need to make money somehow but as a gaming site, wouldn't it be better for you if GOOD games were the norm instead of crap like the advertised Sim City? These devs really deserve more attention.

@ggregd @karamazovnew Thanks, I just found that article. This is actually good news. Let's hope for a future DRM at install only patch. I'm a sailor so this is pretty important to me.

Wait a second... so once you are in the game, even if the server disconnects, you can still play (although not save)? Doesn't that contradict what Maxis said about a lot of stuff being processed online? Doesn't that confirm that this is just a single player game with online DRM, saving and a bit of multiplayer?
