@hyf: Unfortunately, X1 doesn't really have an answer. This game looks amazing. Sooner or later I may take the jump and get a PS4 Pro. Going to wait to see what MS has up it's sleeve for the Scorpio launch. I said in a different thread, that I am a little sore about the lack of exclusives on my X1, hopefully they have something that blows us away! Wishful thinking probably though.

@death_burnout: I am an X1 early adopter and while I don't regret choosing it over the PS4, lately it has been tough seeing all these exclusives announced and coming out on PS.

I had a ton of fun with the first Titanfall and Halo was a decent game. I use the features the system has that PS4 didn't offer, snap, pass thru hdmi, etc. But any chance I get to give feed back to MS, I state that the game line up is sub par and lacking.

I will wait to see what they reveal at E3 to go along with the Scorpio before deciding to buy the PS4 Pro or the Scorpio. One day, I may get around to building a PC too, but not likely soon, too many games on my X1 that I still need to start.

@Kougeru: I think costs even out in the long run, maybe a bit more expensive because of the game price gap on consoles, but that's not really a worry for me, I wait for sales for most games anyway.

By simplicity of consoles, I meant that you buy it, plug it in, and game for 4-8 years with an slowly improving visual fidelity. With a gaming PC, you generally spend more on the initial system, and then are teased with new components that will improve performance. I know I don't HAVE to buy new parts for a PC, but for me, that's a bother.

Just my personal experience.

@deakenblack: I was super pumped for Scalebound after the reveal trailer a couple of years ago, then the E3 showing last year just put me right off it. The gameplay looked terrible.

@angrycreep: I was also bummed about the non removable drive. I bought a decent 2 TB external though and it's been awesome, I don't think I'd have it any other way now! All i have to do when going to a friends house is grab a controller and the drive and I have every game in my catalogue (currently around 140). I used to only buy physical, but man digital is just too convenient I wont ever go back. When I see a game on sale that I have as a physical copy, I'll buy it if it's a good deal just so I don't have to worry about discs anymore!

@khanwashere:

I was pumped for snap when it was announce. I used it almost daily to watch sporting events while gaming. It did make the UI painfully slow at times, which was bearable as long as you were staying in the game/app and not moving around too much.

I will miss it, but in reality, it needed to go to speed up the system.

@sladakrobot: This. Also, it will probably have one of those ribbons on the box art "Better with Scorpio" just like they had them for Kinect enabled titles.

@creation0: I agree, the timing is not perfect, and hopefully they aren't making the same mistake that Sony made at with the PS3 launch. The 360 was not as advanced, came out a year earlier, but was able to be more affordable, gaining it market share.

As long as they price the Scoprio at a decent price, it will be ok. Then they can do a full refresh on generations when the PS5 comes out. If people don't want to upgrade, they wont. But with the games all being backwards compatible going forward, I see the lines between generations blurring, at least for the Xbox family of consoles.
