@chefwhitey I agree! I think it's a lot of the people who were not going to buy a Xbox anyway. For me, I am a fan of games. I have a Xbox 360, PS3, a gaming PC, and a Wii. I plan on getting the Xbox One and a PS4. Both systems have their strong points and weak points. But both are great systems and fun to play.
@Raymache1 I was hoping for 399, but was thinking 499. So, although I would rather pay less, I am fine with 499....especially since I already put back the cash for it.
In 2005, Xbox released to versions of their new Xbox 360 console. The premium was 399 and came with a 20GB HD, wireless controller, and headset. The core version was 299 and came with a wired controller. 500 bucks isn't cheap, but it's reasonable.
@Yatsukiii @johnfrat @ramey85 Most of the gamers I know are sports fans. Actually, in my 25+ years of gaming, most of the gamers that I have run into are also sports fans.
@Yatsukiii @ramey85 I watch sports, and I am a "gamer". Yes, I play sports games. However, I play simulation games, strategy, shooters, action, role playing, etc...Xbox is trying to create a "one stop shop" for all your entertainment needs. I like it, but I also like what Playstation does.
Is this seriously surprising? When the 360 came out, original xbox accessories did not work on it. When the PS3 came out, the PS2 accessories did not work on that either.
I do find it strange that you have an unveil, but then do not physically unveil the item in question. However, I really am excited about the next gen consoles.
