@Hvac0120 I have a vita, enjoy it but the points you make are spot on...of course Sony needs to make more PSVita exclusives as well as the cross-buy-cross-play titles.

If they actually think they're going to be profitable, they need to completely trash the wonder-book, actually advertise new games (has anyone seen an actual PlayStation commercials/ads on the tv? because I haven't since long before the "long live play" campaign), then they need to offer some good PS vita games FREE on the PS Plus because that should push some fence people into buying a vita. I have a PS3 and a vita, I love Playstation and I want to them to succeed, I don't like xbox and Nintendo has become irrelevant in my opinion, so Sony, listen up, if you ACTUALLY want to PROFIT from your games department, then advertise, scrap the wonderbook and really entice people to buy a vita!! :)

@gamespot correction: far cry 3 releases in december, not sept/oct.

I really want a PS vita, but the high prices (especially of the memory cards) and the lack of backward compatibility with all DIGITAL PSP games was a HUGE letdown.

@14monkey I own both a wii and a ps3. I don't enjoy the controls on the wii. I liked the few first party games and the initial novelty of the motion controlled gimick games, but since about 2 years ago (about 6 months after I got my wii) it has been doing little more than collecting dust. However, my PS3 is on from the moment I get home until my head hits the pillow, the PS3 consistently has amazing first-party titles and plenty of third-party title that keep me playing hours on end. I used to be a Nintendo only person (N64 and GameCube) but I converted to the PS3 because of the wii.

@alvarokike What I mean is not "rehashed" but new unique games, proper sequels. It's my personal feeling that Nintendo's stride was really hit with the N64. I would like to see more 3D adventures of their platform games (Mario, DK, Kirby, etc) and I would like to see proper follow ups to Starfox (actually in an arwing again) and games like F-zero and Wave Racer which we haven't seen since the GameCube days. Nintendo seems to have abandoned all their franchises except Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Zelda, Metroid and Mario.

@nate1222 You may be right (though I sincerely hope not) but I think the support of start up consoles like the ouya and the billions of dollars spent on massive games like Skyrim and Battlefield 3 suggest that you are wrong (which I sincerely hope so).

Until a new Smach Bros, Mario Kart, Starfox, F-Zero, DK64, Mario Galaxy, 1080, Wave Racer and Rouge Squardon are announced I will hold off on getting this system.

@NOscope42 Yes, Mario Galaxy 2 was amazing. But everything else (Mario Brothers, Donkey Kong Country Returns etc) was rehashed SNES games. Where was Wave Racer, 1080, F-Zero, Rouge Squardon, Starfox etc.???
