@Spartan_418 Thanks for sharing the info with me... and to answer you; no I do not own a PSP GO, or any PSP downloadable/digital game. That is why I asked you... I thought that there was a way for this.

@cubachino I believe they meant 11% for each console.... "Finally, an identical 11% of respondents are making their next game for upcoming Sony and Microsoft platforms."... right from the source... but I could be wrong, since the wording of that sentence (right from the source) is confusing to me because it is not clear (to me) whether it is 11% each or 11% combined.

If it is 11% (assuming is 5.5% each) combined, then the results are not that great for the other consoles, compared to the WiiU. The WiiU has 6.4% of indie developers planning/thinking of future WiiU games, compared to 4.6% currently making WiiU games.

If it is 11% each, then there is nothing really to boast about since they are low percentage as well and they are above the WiiU by a difference of +5%.

@RealFabioSooner I think the point @MrMisanthrope is trying to make, is that without the actual numbers, the news looks more interesting/positive, and has better sound to it, and can potentially create a buzz for the product and the company. Now if we compared the same news stating that it sold ~40K+ units this week since its price cut the impact you will get will be different.

I am not saying does are bad numbers (I do think the numbers are good, compared to its performance in the market since its inception), but there is a reason why companies tend to do this type of PR.

The main thing to look for, is what are the numbers after the price in the following weeks/months/year/etc... is this a one week sensation (the peak)? or is't a turn around for the Vita?

@Spartan_418 Yes I know what you meant, and yes I meant the UMD drive, not the downloadable PSP games.

I do know that this is not going to happen, since there is probably a valid reason why Sony did not do this from the get go with the Vita. It is just a personal preference, since the PSP has a lot of great games.

Out of curiosity. Do you have to repay for those games, or the user has a way of getting them for free if they own the game already?... not hating or nothing hidden intended, just a plain question.

@Spartan_418 Agreed. But if I had to choose, I will go with Sony allowing support for SD or Mini SD cards instead of their memory card. That could potentially make a lot of gamers (including myself) buy that model right away.

Other welcomed perk for the next Vita remodel will be backwards compatibility (this potentially can increase the price of the console) with PSP games.

@FLEEBS Good points you guys brought up.

Technically, the WiiU will be left behind (not ala 7th generation) when the Xbox720/PS4 comes out. I think that many gamers ignore that Nintendo is trying (for some time now) to distance themselves from the competition. They learned that a high end technological home console was not the way to go... at least for them (see N64 and Gamecube). So, their main focus is to bring something different (whether it is innovative or not), and will continue to try reinvent the wheel (not always a good thing) for as long as they can.

About Nintendo listening; they have being doing that for quite a while (specially with developers). Nintendo, as a company, will listen, but not always will do what is requested (there are a lot of examples for this)... think about this from a personal stand point. Will you do everything people tell you no matter what? IMO if you do this, at some you will lose your identity.

About 3rd support, that is just a box of surprises. If you look at the Wii's library, will tell you that most companies did not know what to do with it; so, most of them created shovelware or terrible ports for the Wii... saying this, I can tell you that there are a lot of 3rd party titles (exclusives and multiplats) that really are worth picking/checking up for that system. It is easy to blame Nintendo (with true facts and without them) for offering an underpowered system to develop for, but it is really hard to self acknowledge that the idea or what you are doing for that system is not going to work.

About multiplat titles not coming to a Nintendo console, there is one explanation that I can think of right now. Historically very few 3rd party titles have done very well (sell par or more than the 1st and 2nd party titles) on a Nintendo console. IMO, I always thought that this was a problem from a consumer stand point (only buying Nintendo console for the Nintendo game), and not from the final product quality stand point... again there are many examples of this.

and yes it is true... haters are indeed going to hate no matter what any company will do.

In the end, what should matter the most, is whether you are happy or not with the purchase... the rest is just ambient noise that can easily be controlled.

@jark888 Even though it is marked as a rumor, this has been circling the web for a long time.
