falcon 4 allied force for me, the only game I really had to know what I was doing for even just playing the game. I wonder if I can even call that thing a game, it's such a complex sim...

The chance are near to nul. I don't know how Capcom thinks, but they seem to target only the consoles these days. Even the Arcade are left behind. That wouldn't cost much to release it if they did program it for Taito Type X2. The OS is already windows and the rest of the spec is really comparable to a few year olds PC. They just don't want to release it for us.

I am gonna go ahead and say it: Every serious company that makes a pc game knows that it does not matter how much the game gets pirated but how much it sells and how to make people buy it. If you pick a game off a platform because of piracy when it was high, its like saying that you are either completly stupid or greedy. The game sells you freaking capcom psychos, why take it off pc? If you thing that EVERY single number of those pirated copies was gonna be a buy OR that it they will buy the console version just because there is no pc version, you are only fooling yourself. Street fighter was not a pc oriented game to begin with. Instead of beeing happy it did suprisingly well, they whine about it. Greedy bastards.dakan45

I don't often agree with you, but on this I do. I don't know if SSFIV could sell well, but to stop from releasing future fighting games because of piracy when it still sell well is absurd. It's not like if it was costing them a lot's too to produce either. I will pass out from lot's of games I could buy, only because I don't have a console anymore. The older I get, the less I'm getting into the hype of marketing and greedy plots.

Don't get your hope too high. I remember when they did the marketing with FSX for directx 10. Edited pics that the game was not looking at all like it at release. It will also be on Windows Live business model, which I don't like much either for the future add ons. In 2009, they did close the ACES game studio and laid off the staffs. Most of the ACES team work now for Cascade Game Foundry, only a few still works for Microsoft. They also try to please to a wider audience. So, I'm really not sure about this one.

On the other end, I don't care much either. X-Plane will also have a future release and Austin have worked hard for sure for this one. He also know much more what a simulator means, having over 2,000 hours in a few dozen different planes. I just hope the new ATC will be much better, this was a big let down in XP9. There's a new guy working only on that, so I doubt it will be bad. I've seen the auto-gen for XP10 and they fixed the houses and roads not placing right and being on the grass. Also the shadow have improved by a lot's. They also use algorithm from OSM Data, a big plus in my book. It would sure not be like custom scenery, but more than enough if I just need to fly a few times at one place.

MF didn't say much about it's features. Only time will tell the end of the story.

Wait, I'm sure they will come back with something else to bite our asses. When something doesn't work, they just use something else to suck the cash up from our pockets. It's been like that since the dawn of time.

I recommend it too. Both FSX and IL-2. They are both really great for beginners and advanced people. It's depends mostly on the settings you use, model of aircraft and mods that you will use. I still suggest having a stick or a yoke to play them. A throttle could be nice too. Pedals would be great if you want to fly helicopters mostly. Lock On, Falcon and Black Shark are the games I won't suggest mostly if you don't want to read big manual or don't know much about flight sim.

So I would sure recommend FSX and IL-2 since they are good sim for anybody to pick up and learn, but still not feel like a game too much. X-Plane wouldn't be so bad either, but getting good planes is somewhat harder, the graphic is not as good and is somewhat harder to setup than FSX in my eye. Once it's done and you found those great planes, it's a blast to play. So I could somewhat say it could be decent to get too, mostly if your computer is not that a beast. It runs better than FSX for sure in terms of frames rates.

Is it really that big a deal? These little updates take like 30 seconds.

Not with my DSL internet connection.

If you have a DSL internet connection then you really shouldn't own any online-only games...

It's not that all true that DSL is slow. There's more than one DSL available, with each of them having different speeds. VDSL can go up to 52 Mbit/s downstream and 16 Mbit/s upstream. DSL Rings can provide bandwidth of up to 400 Mb/s. Anyway, most cable providers don't even deliver good speed unless you pay a freaking lot's to have it.

Of course, only a real teacher will be able to tell you if you have "the beat" to be a drummer or if you're just wasting your time and should go get a kazoo :) ... good luck

no1alboogie

Anybody can learn. Nobody should tell you that you are not good enough and should switch to another instrument, even a teacher... If you can count, why couldn't you have "the beat".

I agree on all the other thing he said. Get a drum and a teacher is the best way to learn. Video Games will not teach you that much.

With a wife and a baby... not that much. I enjoy when I have a bit of time for myself. It doesn't happen enough and when it happen it's never for a long period of time, so I can't do anything that takes more than 30 minutes really. Most of the time I use it to play keyboard and guitar.
