Strange how Gamespot didn't share this criticism with PS4 Pro which still only has 39 optimized titles while X has 80 optimized titles just a couple weeks after launch. Typical Gamespot bias...

Gamespot never learned the lessons from "Gerstmanngate". Once again it is painfully obvious that they are being paid to favor one company over another. Forza score was docked for not having all modes available at launch and yet GT is given weeks to get everything up and running? Gamespot runs articles complaining X doesn't have enough games at launch even though it launched with double the number of optimized titles as PS4 Pro?

I gave this site another chance after GiantBomb came back in the fold, but it appears they compromised whatever principles they had once again. Even as a best case, this is a situation where a culture has been cultivated to bias towards Sony even if no money was involved.

@dudebropartyyo: And yet Gamespot has reviewed literally every other online only game released within a few days of release....

If there was every any question as to Gamespot's bias towards Sony, this settles it. Gamespot gleefully tore into Halo: The Master Chief collection four days after it launched and yet is giving Sony weeks to get their servers online and give them a fair shot???

@chiefwiggum16: Portability on Switch is nice, but with PC and X1 I get the peace of mind of knowing that I can continue to play this game in the future when the next generation of hardware comes out. PC games can always be played on future hardware and Xbox consistently has the best track record of supporting backwards compatibility of the big three console makers.

@tigerbalm: Although I have a PS4, I'm buying it for PC from Good Old Games so I have it DRM free. That's the best reason to own a gaming PC over PlayStation, in particular. You don't have to worry about the hardware going obsolete and not being able to play it anymore. I refuse to rebuy PS3 games for my PS4 because Sony isn't really "for the gamers".

Sony exec last month: We don't offer backwards compatibility because PS fans don't like to play old games.

Sony exec yesterday: Here, buy yet another remaster of an old game since we're not releasing anything else anytime soon.

@nayce54: LOL. Naughty Dog has already said that TLOU2 won't be out for YEARS. Absolutely no chance it comes out this year.

@Jag-T1000: Conveniently ignoring Sea Of Thieves, Crackdown 3, Forza, Cuphead, and Scalebound...

Supreme arrogance for these voice actors to think they should make more for a week or two of work than the more highly skilled/trained programmers and artists who work full-time for several years to make the game. I hope these companies don't relent and get whatever voice talent they can still get. I'd rather hear the old amateur voice acting from the days that the devs used their own programmers to do the voice work than give in to these entitled voice actors. The alternative is that we all have to pay more for games moving forward to cover these additional costs.
