@solid_snake1461: Gran Turismo Sport getting the same score as Forza 7 is all the evidence you need. Most PS4 exclusives score higher on Gamespot than other gaming sites. Gamespot's strong Sony bias is well known in the industry and explains why their page hits trail so far behind IGN (for all of it's own faults). Most people visiting Gamespot are PlayStation fans because of this, so they are preaching to the choir.
I tend to stick with physical for Nintendo games since they don't seem committed to backwards compatibility. That way I can trade in the game at some point if the next Nintendo system comes out and I can't play it anymore.
With PC and Xbox I tend to buy digital since I know I can play them on future systems if I want to keep them.
Typical Sony bias from Gamespot. 2 million sales is pathetic. Why was it that Kinect was considered a failure after selling 24 million units but PSVR a success after only selling two million with similar install bases at the time? All VR options were DOA. The few rabid fans are just too stubborn to admit it. There has already been a significant drop off in software support with the only developers continuing to offer future releases being funded by the hardware manufacturers - not because there's a decent install base or potential.
@koospetoors: Cliffy has a bad tendency to burn his bridges? Epic is the only other game developer he's ever worked for! That's hardly a tendency - it's one instance.
Interesting how Gamespot didn't factor in backwards compatibility into their value segment knowing that it would force this pro-Sony website to give the preference to MSFT.
