Money moves markets, and they would not move this way unless something has changed in the paradigm. I am all for the video game experience to remain the same as it has been my whole gaming life, but is this really possible? Listen, pirating is huge problem, and if they are running low on money, that means they have to find new ways to operate or completely scale back their operations. That would also change my gaming experience, calmer and more mature gamers should think about this. I am not stating Microsoft is without blame, but anyone that tries a course correction is going to be thrown under the bus, thats how life goes. PS4 will get its initial bump, but that too will fade as this pre-talk end when the gaming starts.

@HeroinSoap

What if you literally give your friend your game? If they can only have it for 30 days how can you really give it to your friend?

Sony Fanboys love to jump on information that can be damning to what they are cheering against, and if your fan, you’re cheering for something but also against something. Most of them are prepubescent boys taking a victory lap, before the final product hit the shelves. What I mean is that until it’s up and running in your living room you have no examples to draw from to gain such said victory dance. Playstation will always be for the gamer that is still living under their parents roof, but mature gamers want a product that delivers vast amounts of enjoyment, and since I had no pull to ever play a playsrtation 3 (outside of uncharted) I would say I feel safe in my decision to be a part of the day one Xbox one crowd. Sure there is a lot of hype about how bad Microsoft is screwing their customers, but they’re not screwing me, I choose to buy their product as soon as it comes out, because I have come to like the quality of work Microsoft produces, now you go back to thinking your PS4 is superior as you’re eating your fruit cakes from your mommies fridge.

@GSGuy321 And what they do is make fun games, that I want to play.

So I have my concerns, but I am trying to get one thing out of this, and that is the ability to play games that interests me, that’s the most important part of this equation. Period

I hear what you are saying, but they only have my support for now. I spend over 500 dollars a year on games alone, and an additional 250 on used games every year. Microsoft does stand to lose all of that, but the system has not been released and the truth is I want to play their games, so I am at least going to give it a chance and see how their new policies really effects my gaming. They say you will still be able to trade in your used games and buy used games without a charge, from them. If that’s the case, I can take care of the kinect issue. Plus policies have a way of changing when consumers speak out, like you are. I want to be a part of the first round of next gen gamers, and right now, xbox has the games I want to play. However I am savvy and if Microsoft keeps up with this contempt for the consumer, I will go to PC gaming.

At the end of the day I am a gamer. I have been since I was a kid and now being older I can afford being a part of the first round of next gen owners and I never have been able to do that. I thought about not doing it, but the pull of playing the games I love is just too much for me to resist, right now that is. So, my pre-ordering was just my acceptance of the inevitable.

Truth is many things about the new Xbox One are worrisome to say the least. My disclaimer is that I already pre-ordered one, simply because Xbox has more of the games I want to play and better exclusives, In My Opinion!!! Obviously Playstation has exclusives that I am very interested in, and right now Playstation is winning the next gen war, that is still a cold war. That being said here are my concerns with Microsoft. I am staying loyal to Xbox because I like their games and I am not giving up my gamerscore, so their marketing worked in that regard. However, with an always on kinect that I never wanted nor ever will want, that has the technology to see and hear every word and action that takes place in my room, coupled with the fact the government gets all the information you get. I seriously don’t trust you that much and I especially don’t trust government. My kinect will always be blocked and muffled as much as I can possibly get away with. The next issue is ownership. Ownership is a word that has a definitive meaning, and because you want to change it does not mean the definition changes. When I buy a game its mine, now I cannot make copies of it and sell your intellectual property, but if I want to trade, break, play, share, or sell my game that I bought, its mine. The content of conversation and action that happens under my roof is mine, not yours or government. So even though I have an Xbox one pre- ordered, does not mean I will continue supporting it, if you don’t respect me as a consumer and not just give me lip service by telling me, getting screwed is good for the screwed, eventually I will jump ship.

Looks amazing!! Sure, it also reminds me of a few other games, but I am sure Bungie is going to put out a quality experience. I am really interested in how they will merge single player experiences into a world that has many other players in the sand box. I am lucky I got the day one Xbox One pre-ordered with my first game being Destiny. Caint wait!!!

@viper666 @gobluebuckeye

Truth is I am a gamer; I have been since I was a child. This chosen activity of mine is not going to stop any time soon. I have been loyal to Microsoft because of the quality of their games and product they put out. I love the achievements system that makes for great competitiveness and identification amongst gamers, and in fact would be the hardest thing for me to give up on. However, I refuse to spend this amount of money on something that will completely change the culture I am accustomed too when it comes to gaming. Gamers like me will spend top dollar for the games that excite them, but we also like to try things out before we buy them, like to trade them in if they suck or just out played. We would not like a product that is ours at a dictated price that has no resell value, and if they charge a tax or fee for replayed games, that is going to effectively end any resell value. I don’t want to give up my Xbox profile and the points I have accumulated, but I will trade it in for trophies that keeps my gaming experience in place, you know the gaming experience I like.

Viper people like us need to let Microsoft know they will lose us, because if enough of us do speak out they will change. Money talks in volumes.
