@aloufika Same here. I had to go through 3 xbox 360 repairs and a ps3 replacement due to RROD/YLOD. figure i'll give them a while to actually make their console work this time ;]
Surely the only accurate way to test the effects of violent games on children is to subject children to violent video games. So who is held responsible if one of these test subjects decides later in life they are going to kill a bunch of people? (which they will not not do imo unless they have/develop a mental illness). More contradictory toss from the powers that be.
@DeViLzzz You have a World of Warcraft Dwarf as you display pic so i am assuming you play, The World of Warcraft is a violent game and by your way of thinking should be banned as a result. Am i right?

No it will include the authorities discussing violent games with parents! If an under age kid is playing a rated 18 game it is the responisbility of the parent. I very much doubt parents would allow their kids to watch pornography which is also rated 18 so how are they getting hold of these games. If you out right ban violent video games you also have to do the same for movies, books, music and all the other types of media. As someone has already rightly stated here, violence has been around since time began it will continue to be around if you remove it from the media. I acknowledge there is a problem with violence in the world but the problem is not directly video games.
I feel dumb for writing this, it is so obvious. The issue is being danced around and video games have been targeted when in actual fact guns and ammo should be (in this case). However, if someone has a mental illness that would lead them to commit the kind of atrocity that we saw in December i doubt that the lack of a Gun would stop them. There are many ways to kill people and a killer will, unfortunately, find a way. Granted the volume of deaths would possibly have been less if an assault rifle was not available.
Regardless of anything i have said i wouldn't be surprised if GTA V is banned along with many others before any of the other obvious issues are addressed. A witch hunt has started and video games are riding the broom stick.
This is the last dlc i will buy for Skyrim. I should have waited to watch this before i got it. Should have known Bethesda couldn't deliver the dragon riding goodness the modders are able to. So lame! Meh back to Far cry 3
No one seems to know about spears. Same article on other sites report that spears are only usable as arrows or bolts. I guess we'll find out tomorrow. Also would like to know if Dragon riding is on rails and/or restricted to new island. We shall see.
