Xbox 360 gamers will get their hands on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's latest expansion Dragonborn tomorrow, but details have leaked ahead of release. Concerning story, the Dragonborn expansion will reportedly begin players coming under attack from Cultists of Miraak. Once players have vanquished the foes, they will find a note that reveals who the attackers were and where they came from. Gamers will then find their boat docked at Windhelm and embark to Solstheim to continue their adventure.

According to the report, ten new achievements worth 250 Gamerscore will be up for grabs in the content. New shouts include Cyclone, Dragon Riding, Bend Will, Dragon Aspect, and Battle Fury. Additional creatures added to Skyrim through the Dragonborn expansion include Werebears, Lurkers, Ash Spawn, Rieklings, The Morag Tony, serpent-like creatures, and new dragon types.

New weapons and armor up for grabs in the Dragonborn expansion include Deathbrand Armor, Boneold Armor, Chitin Armor, Carved Nordic weapons and armor, Spears, and Robes. Players can also make use of new spells in the content, some of which are Poison Rune, Ash Shell, Waterwalking, and Whirlwind Cloak.

Dragonborn is the third expansion for Skyrim, following Dawnguard and Hearthfire. It has been announced only for Xbox 360 and will cost $20.

Since I purchased and downloaded Dragonborn through Steam, the dragons that I kill do not disintegrate and release their soul for me to absorb.  Is this part of Dragonborn or do I need to get my son to fix my computer again?

Been playing Dark Souls for the longest time now, but I got the Platinum for that game on PS3 and decided to go back to good ol' Skyrim once I heard about the Dragonborn DLC.  I never did get a chance to play any of the others either, so I just bought all three of them.  So far, I've only been able to get into a little of Hearthfire, but even that expansion, which I have read a lot of people don't like, is great in my opinion.

These new additions in the Dragonborn DLC sound really good to me.  I understand mods that do the same thing have been out on PC for quite some time now, and modding, for a lot of people, extends the life of the game.  Personally, I'm not really into mods for games like this as I like to experience the content how it was made to be played, though I have seen some novel things that looked funny or fun to play.  But like I said, it is great for many people and allows PC users to get even more time out of the game for their money.

What I don't understand is the hate for console players like myself.  I have Skyrim for my 360 and love it.  I enjoy sitting on the couch with my Turtle Beach's on and relaxing while enjoying the storyline instead of having to sit in my computer chair.  The argument of hooking a PC up to a TV and playing wirelessly could be made, but to me it's not the same.  On top of that, being a college student means that I don't have a whole heck of a lot of money to throw into a decent gaming computer, so console gaming has become the norm for me in the past few years.

To each his own I guess.  Personally, the money was well spent for me and I will continue to enjoy the content for another 200+ hours like I have already.

Just watched the live feed...Dragons can not be manually flown; while you can target and attack things with it, the dragon itself is controlled automatically.  Also, if I understood correctly, you can only use spears in your bow.  And...wathogs cannot be ridden.

console users dont get mods so im guessing this is the compromise. I used to play elderscrolls on a console... til i played it on a pc one day. saw all the mods and naked elves... never went back to console elder scrolls

Why are they saying it's the third expansion? Hearthfire was just DLC, not an expansion.

I can't understand why dlcs are so expensive.20 dollars,1/3 of the price of the game when it launched.

Cool, I'll be waiting for dragon armor dlc then. Seriously though does anyone know if part of this will be in Morrowind? I think I saw giant mushrooms in the trailer and felt really nostalgic.

Now I wont get my hopes up but it said that the player will receive 2 unique scimitars at the end of the quest.. The only 2 unique scimitars that came to mind has to be Hopesfire and Trueflame from morrowind... anyone wanna take a guess??

Cool . After killing all the poor dragons , Now I can catch them with a pokeball  and use fly with them.Very Original.  Why didn't they put these options already in the first release so when a new one came we would have really new stuff to enjoy.Still though its damn worth playing. :)

It would have been nice as a Christmas release, but as long as it's done right then I'm ok with the wait.

@AndreJr7  Bethesda has always... well usually has top notch expansion packs that make it worth twenty dollars, A certain game that comes out every year charges 15 dollars for a few maps...

Mario_VS_DK
Mario_VS_DK

@AndreJr7 Because with this, it's not just DLC adding a few maps, it's a full expansion worth quite a while of play time.

Because these three DLCS were originally cut from release due to time constraints or that it wouldn't be needed.  After that developer summit and Todd Howard showing what could've been in the game, fans wanted all of that content and soo.... they're putting it in slowly and adding a bit more to justify a DLC for it.

sorry, Meadhall I think its called? Oh and there's a typo somewhere in there, I think its "Bonemold" not Boneold lol.

@Mario_VS_DK  @AndreJr7 What he's saying though is that the expansion is 1/3 the price of the game; but it's HIGHLY unlikely to be as much as 1/3 of the content of the game.

Falcon2000

 @Rifqi_Hb

If you need to ask, you probably wouldn't understand.  Would you say that all downloadable content adds the same value to the game?  If I said you could download 1 new sword for Skyrim, would that be on the same level as Dawngaurd, a new storyline, new quests, npc's, potentially even gamespace - a'la Dragonborn will have?  DLC can include, but is not limited to expansions. Expansion is what it says - an expansion of the gameworld with new concepts, content, things to do.  Dawnguard, Dragonborn, etc - expansions, but also DLC.  Horse Armor - DLC, but definately not expansion.  Clear?
