in terms of performance not money the 8800GTX or Ultra will leave the Radeon HD 2900 XT 512MB behind in dust. If the Radeon HD 2900 XT 512MB is the best Radeon card then AMD needs a lot of catching up to do in order to beat nVidia

Yea ill be upgrading my whole computer for UT3, but not when it comes out. ill probably get the 8800 Ultra with a quad core CPU at mid 2008 or maybe later. i know the 8800 Ultra will be outdated by then by better GPUs but also it will be cheaper too. depends on when i have the cash. of course everything needs money, lol.

not bad. I dont hate ATI but i prefer nVidia. ill be getting a new computer some time in 2008 and ill get with it a 8900GTX or something similar if it comes out that is, but still that depends on where ATI stands with their cards by then.

I would never go for SLI or Crossfire because its a complete waste of money, and even if it wasn't I wouldn't have the money anyways. So clearly from the tests the Nvidia 8800GTX beats the ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT 512MB. Although the ATI one might be cheaper but its not a lot of difference between the 8800 GTX so I will defineatly go for 8800GTX if I were to get a new card but I would never go for SLI or Crossfire.

Kretino your answer is at the top section of this article on the gaming page. the answer is no. you will need a GeForce 8800GTX or GTS to be able to use the power of DX10 but your GeForce 7600 GS will work on Vista but only with DX9 because Vista is both DX9 and DX10 enabled.
