I think PC comparison is good that its there. because I can now go and show some noobs that PC graphics is better than consoles. now I have proof for them. also look at the topic. it says "XBOX360 vs PS3 now with PC" and the important bit "GRAPHICS COMPARISON". it doesn't say price comparison. So even thought a cheap 9600GT can trash console graphics, I can put that aside and bring in the expensive GTX280 because price is not the argument here. We are talking about which has better graphics. Still PC rules.
lol actually looking at the pictures more carefully PC totally overpowers the consoles in every game PC wins. Look at the water splashes in COD PC and PS3. I'm not gonna say much about GTA4 because its clearly better in every way. the PS3 GTA4 looks like PC GTA3 or even worse.
my computer is about US$900 and it kicks the X360 and PS3s butt. Lets face it consoles are good but now a days you can build a PC very cheaply that can out perform a console any time. Note: I'm not saying consoles suck I'm just saying PC graphics are better.
lol tested both the 4870 and 4870 X2 on my case and both don't fit :( I didnt buy then just took my case to shop and tested there. So either I have to change my case or get a card that fits my case. I still cant decide, but im most likely to get a cheaper card as money is an issue for me. later when i get a good job i can afford better case and cards, but for now i wanna make the most of my money. I'm going to spend it on: Phenom 9550 2GB DDR2 RAM Motherboard PSU and either a Geforce 9800GT or a HD4850 i will decide which in the next 2 days.
I know what you mean Lach0121 because I study a little bit of marketing. To be honest I wasn't think of that when I was posting. I dont hate Nvidia, I have never bought an ATI card before because I liked Nvidia but now Im neutral. I really want to give ATI a try. I wont get this card because I will just be wasting money. Ill still get the HD4870, although if the 4870 had 1gb of memory it would have been much better.
the problem with Nvidia is that when they released the GTX series ahead of the Radeon 48xx series they thought they won and people would buy their cards. When AMD released the 4870 and 4850 Nvidia got a stick up their bums. not only they were cheaper they performed really well. Nvidia deserves lose money because they thought everyone would buy their cards and there would be nothing out to challenge their GTX cards. Imagine how much Nvidia dropped their prices on their cards after the 4870 and 4850 came out. Its insane how much Nvidia wanted to eat peoples money.
lol Gamespot is kind of late in reviewing this card. other sites I know did this like 2 weeks ago. anyways this card is amazing. I was about to get the HD 4870 and I might still get the 4870 because this is a bit expensive but the performance of this thing is awesome. besides I have to test this and probably the 4870's size because it might not fit in my case. well done AMD. AMD seems to be in a real good shape with its graphics cards. Hope the Phenoms go good with the 45nm CPUs getting released next year.
to bahaa_bg well of course it would be the best card you have ever seen, cuz it is the best card in terms of performance but not in terms of money. not many people can afford this card thats why the 8800 GT is preferred by most because its good on performance and its really cheap
