I disabled and reconnected it and now it says 3 hours. The inconsistancy is getting ridiculous.

Here is what I got on my connection test through the PS3:

1.7 mbps for download

421.7 Kbps for Upload.

Now sure how sufficient that is, any thoughts?

i bet that's the problem, slow speed AND older model, i'm assuming that because of what i stated in my replies

i'm no tech guru but i'm willing to bet some of you may have older model ps3's, after a couple of months from when i got a new 80gb i've noticed the signal strength was going down all the way to 50%, after having my slim for a year now the lowest it's went to has been 95%, i know it's not ea's server ( besides the gameplay ) because it only took a few minutes to dl and install, but after my personal experience of going from an older model to a slim and mysteriously keeping a strong sig strength i think it's the wifi in the older ps3's

man that's long, i have a dl speed up to 21mbps, when i had an 80gb ps3 it was becoming slower but when i got the slim it only takes a couple of minutes to dl and install, i'm also wireless, you may if you haven't done so reset your router, try wired, get a new modem from your provider, and if that doesn't work it's time for a new ps3

played and enjoyed mw1,2, and waw, after playing the role of sucker for buying blops on day 1 and literally forcing myself to believe it's good and seeing how they f'd it up i'll never buy another cod again, i can't wait to see how many people will buy battlefield instead

if you're tight on money or looking for a good deal go to craigslist, last wednesday i got a slim with an extra red dual shock , grand theft auto 4, cod 4, all for 225, i felt bad because i knew it was a ripoff but ohwell, dont pay attention to most of those "extra services offers", its all to get you to believe its something you need. sorry for the long post

i agree with motherboop, but i also think.........

the 160gb uncharted bundle will be lowered to 399 till sold out,

current 80 gb will be 299 till sold out,

then the ps3 slim will launch on oct 13 to coincide with uncharted 2 launch,

price will be 350 - 375 and once the holiday season is over it will drop to 299 to go with launch of GOW3 or final fantasy.

i had the same problem as you back on april 1st, my 60 gb just got fixed and it's on its way back, the people that fixed it can be found at psr1.com if you don't go through sony good luck

it's amazing how some people say " stop whining " and/or " you should've taken better care of it", i bought my 60gb in sept 07 and so far the blu ray drive stopped working 2 weeks after sonys warranty expired and on april 1st of this year ( no joking ) the audio/video died out , i've taken good care of it and everything but i still had these problems, good thing for me that i bought an extended warranty for $28 (it's now april 30 , they received my ps3 on april 20th and i was told yesterday that it would take 14 business days to repair it, so who would be happy about that part? ), but anyways i find it f'd up when some people act like there's nothing wrong until it happens to them, i understand there's a failure rate with all electronics.
