It is possible to do it with AMD, though its not as easy or reliable as an Intel system.

As far as the legality is concern, as long as you

1) Actually buy a copy of OSX

2) Aren't selling "Mac PCs"

You've got nothing to worry about.

I've got it on 360 and can honestly say that I enjoy the game. I think "severely dumbed down" is an internet comparison where nobody knows moderation and the only reaction/opinion worth writing or expressing is the extreme one.

To me, DA is the hardest console game from Bio-Ware. If this is severely dumbed down than i'd flip it and say the PC version is probably overly complex and difficult.

UT_Wrestler

So you think it's more challenging than any of Bioware's previous console games? I get disappointed when I go through an entire game without dying even once.

Aye, the game is definitely more difficult than anything Bioware has released in a long while. Although, things get much easier once your characters level up some. I ended up cranking it up to nightmare around lvl 12 and still only had trouble with a couple of the boss battles.

I'm not defending Gamestop since it is a pretty crappy policy, but why can't you just get it somewhere else? Seems you're spending too much time stressing over this.

10 years ago, I would agree that voice acting in RPGs is a horrible thing. However, the acting has improved tremendously and, i think, it is much more immersive when it is done right.

How? Because you're seeing the character as the story writer fully intended. There are plenty intended emotions, flaws, accents, and other nuances that are very easy to lose with just text.

This isn't a recent thing, its been in effect for decades and for all forms of media. I've heard it is because weekend sales are already strong, so its an attempt to get more people in the store during the week.

Don't see why its a big deal. If it comes out Tuesday, then wait to play or buy it over the weekend if you don't have time during the week.

^Exactly. Plus, in the future, when you are ready to upgrade you won't have to purchase a whole new copy of windows to benefit from the additional RAM.

[QUOTE="Dragonblade01"]You have to understand that it's the nature of the beast for the console developer to become involved.UpInFlames

What makes you think that I don't understand? Understanding something and disagreeing with it are two completely different things. I do not accept and I do not agree with Microsoft's extreme level of control over its service. They are doing a disservice to their userbase as well as the developers and their fanbase.

Exactly. MS is really just spitting in the face of its customers. Knowing this, I'll think twice before purchasing the 360 port of any game.

Well, it's not like it's a "bad" or unexpected thing to charge for additional content. A bit of a disappointment though.

Dragonblade01

Its definately bad for gamers when a company doesn't want to charge for additional content, and MS forces them to.

You know, I've bought one game all year and I haven't really played anything over the summer. I thought I was finally breaking my game addiction.. and here I am bat clawed right back in. I put in 3 straight hours last night and I put myself to sleep fantasying about batman! The game is amazing and I love almost everything about it...

My biggest complaint is probably the boss fights I've had so far. They seem pretty basic and the same mechanics are reused between them.

2. Underage rape has been in stories even in America before. Movies such as A Time to Kill had such subject.

rragnaar

This just isn't right. There is a massive difference between a movie's plot having a girl getting raped and the repercussions that follow, and a game that lets you rape the girl and makes it erotic. I'm sorry, but to say that virtual rape is ok because films and literature have dealt with the same subject matter isn't going to fly. Those films aren't glorifying and eroticizing rape. Huge difference.

When it involves adult or "teenage" women, I'd say rape scenes in movies are more often erotic than brutal. There is also a long line of movies and books whose plot revolves around the woman falling in love with or forgiving their rapist.

Unless there is proof that these games are a direct cause of sexual violence, I really don't see why a ban is necessary. If there is no proof, we really shouldn't concern ourselves with what people are doing with pixels.
