So is this similar to Sony and MS partnership or is it something more. Will this lead to some Sega published games be release exclusive or first on xbox. or at least guarantees no more Persona, Judgment etc first on playstation. In this strategy is sony still allowed to throw money at japanese studios under Sega.
One small aspect why playstation continues to remain sort of the zeitgeist console if you will, is there weird japanese relationship. Important franchises still likely come out first on playstation here and there.
I will just say that I enjoyed Ori significantly more.😊 But I must be careful in saying that because I teach game development, I am not allowed to have my own opinion on games without a thesis explaining my reasons.😂

Its like what Uncle Phill said don't worry about who is making or loosing money just play the games. As consumers we would all probably prefer what MS is doing. Of course gotta wait for those games to come through.
@Pedro: It depends on how you classify "gaming subscriptions" because PSN+ is over 2x the size of GamePass (and larger than XBL Gold afaik). PlayStation actually makes more money from "services" than Xbox.
Yeah I think its usually misunderstood that they count everything when it comes to service. Including teh games as a service. People wonder why sony keeps pissing people off by not playing nice with cross play and keep pawning up GTA 5 lol. Its actually where they make there bucks despite not focusing on those types of games themselves. They get that genshin impact money lol.

But seriously, hardware numbers are going to the wayside. They just don't equate to max profits. Services are the big money maker in today's hobby.
For now kinda want to see xbox hardware numbers go hand in hand which is what the picture is showing. At least until other methods of getting into those services continue to kick off. pc, cloud gaming etc.
If sub numbers don't go up there is an evil side to max profit through services lol.
Glad for Arcane getting some recognition. Microsoft has a proven serious talent now. When the industry jurnos start giving props and these deals with sony end oooh. MS resurgence is coming.
Its actually been an ok launch for the system. For SW it probably needed one of there usual blockbuster out by now to finish things of. Outside of SW for me Demon Soul (Souls bias) and Returnal are the best exclusives out there for any system right now. They don't play here because of sales flop. I have also enjoyed Strive on the system not exclusive.
