The game also doesn't support 21:9 Ultra Widescreen very well. When you get hurt, the red damage filter that overlays the screen is only 16:9, so it looks like only the center three-quarters of your screen is hurt while the edges at either side look clear as day. Some HUD markers aren't aligned, so they show up to the right of where they should be. And in some conversation scenes where Jensen is presumably supposed to be just off-screen to the side, the camera instead partially clips into his head so you can see from inside his head... eyeballs, teeth and all.
@louixiii: I don't understand the point of getting upset over this any more so than over news of casualties from texting and driving. Or driving under the influence of alcohol or prescription drugs. People are dumb, and we can only idiot-proof so much.
@louixiii: Well, by definition someone getting killed is a big deal, especially in comparison to "nobody got hurt." So, yeah, I don't see any technical problem with those statements.
This is extremely fishy. One would imagine an experienced publisher like Team 17 would retain some rather important rights, including perhaps the works and assets done while the game was being funded by them. If not the IP itself.
@normanislost: I saw it. It was good, but not as good as people had hyped me up to think it was. 9/10. Maybe 8/10 if I didn't have an appreciation for 80's thriller movies and tropes.
The reason I say it this way is because the last two times I got those types of recommendations ("must watch!"), it was for Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. Those two were 10/10 shows.
All I'm saying is, when someone says "believe the hype" for this, I think you should chill them just a little bit.
I really wish you would have said what the current price was in your article so I didn't have to look it up.
The price for 12 months is jumping from 49.99 USD to 59.99 USD. This is from about $4.17/mo to $5/mo., a 20% price increase. You're buying 12 months for the price of 6, instead of for the price of 5.
The price for the 3 month subscription is jumping from 17.99 USD to 24.99 USD. This is from $6/mo. to about $8.33/mo., about a 39% price increase. It's like buying 12 months for the price of 10, instead of 7.
Overall, this change is still fairly decent for yearly subcribers. But for anyone choosing 3-month, it's a dirty trash chute. They brought the price of the 3-month closer to the per-month price than the yearly bundle price.
