@EKGProd The resell model works for used cars, but not so much for used software. The cost of manufacturing a line of vehicles is significantly higher than the cost of designing it, contrasted to how cheap it is to manufacture a game disc vs developing the software. If you are Game Publisher X, why would you buy back your game for $28 when you can just make a brand new copy for $6? Unlike GameStop (who HAS to buy in order to have stock), you have the license to print them yourself. Why would you undercut your own sales by anything over $6 if $6 is what it cost to produce a new copy?

@devild0ogwhite Nintendo isn't in the buy-back business. Customers got free replacements for returning a busted DS/3DS systems under warranty. Nintendo isn't making money on buying and selling used, they're losing money on replacing defective units and partially recuperating some of that on selling refurbished. Though I assume logic doesn't work on you.
