@Ron_W@MrWhaloI never scouted. Stuck with the main team...and Datto (being the worse player ever at first) becomes the greatest player as far as speed and makes you unbeatable....it's great :)

@AzoroFox- I don't know that I agree. Just because I prefer something doesn't make me a fanboy over something. What I prefer doesn't matter so don't try to call me a fanboy of any kind at this point. But to say that I would rather one over the other does not a fanboy make...or does the fact that someone wants a ps4 a fanboy (and the argument that the ps4 is "better" does not work in this context).

@Hellknite190 @Urizen5 @dunk_420 You can set it up that a game doesn't auto start so that you can be in the xmb when you turn on the system. That way you don't have to go through that hassle every time. And if you already know that sorry for wasting your time lol....just wanted to help if possible.

@anonymousicko @kiramasaki Correction....358/2 Days cutscenes....not the game itself (at least that is how I read it).

@Gravelord_Nito Honestly the estus flask made the game MUCH easier than in Demon's Souls in my opinion.

Does this remind anyone else of Star Ocean Till the End of Time? And I say that in a positive way. I am looking forward to this :)

@ernelson1976 @gabrielperry @USAPATRIOT21 That may be true for some....but not true for all....please don't make that statement. Is there a level of pride that comes from completion (especially the second play through): HELL YEAH. But to say that is the only reason for everyone is not really true at all. There is so much more embedded with the difficulty that one could spend all day writing about. The easiest way to understand it, though, would be to experience it.

@ernelson1976 @einrazer @gabrielperry I get what you are saying....I really do. Have you played the series? (if you said so I have not read it and apologize for making you repeat yourself). If not then it is hard to really be able to say that the game would be unchanged at a lower difficulty.

So let me put it this way....why do you want it to have an easier difficulty? Do you want to experience the story? The story is embedded into the surroundings and would be overlooked if you could play through without much struggle. The little bit of blatant narrative would be dull and boring and lackluster for almost everyone (including me). It is the raw focus that the game instills that forces players to pick up on nuances that would otherwise be missed by all (but the keenest of eyes) and lose it's punch.

Do you want to experience the gameplay? The gameplay is SOLID, but it is not very flashy and if I was playing a game with a minimalist attack style such as this game and it was not just eye-popping....I would lose interest quick. (I am not saying that the battle system is simple or easy....just not overly flashy a-la Devil May Cry, etc...)

And if that is not the experience you want....this is not the game for you. I cannot say it would be wrong....nor would I begrudge the company for offering a lower difficulty to make a quick buck (frankly that would be all the point to it). I will still own it and enjoy the hell out of the highest difficulty (assuming it stays quality). But on the other hand....why must they change it to this? If you do not want that experience, then try another game. That is my opinion....and it is ONLY OPINION. I do not claim to speak for anyone other than myself and how I interpret the point of the game, and I pay no disrespect to anyone's opinion.

@gabrielperry @einrazer And I respect that as well. But don't get me wrong. The game is amazing all around. The problem is I feel like those that haven't played it try to games like Devil May Cry that are fast paced and flashy with a solid combo system where you can technically rip through the game without much difficulty if you have it mastered. The game itself is a work of art (DS series I mean) and part of the draw is the fact that it PUNISHES you if you make a mistake. Further the story is not driven by strong narrative....you have to kind of put the world together in your own head....and I am afraid the way to express why escapes me right now, but the sheer fact that you are so focused and aware of all of your surroundings enable you to actually immerse yourself into the entire world and you pick up on little things that you never would have had you played through without much bother.

@5cott @ShadowofSonic @ernelson1976 Couldn't have said it better myself :). And I am sure someone will see this and say "bad game design." But it isn't lol. It was intentionally designed to be mean and nasty and force you to know your surroundings before making a move. If you act on impulse....you die.
