@JimmeyBurrows The difference is, that Ifrit and crystals are FF staples....so they are all but guaranteed. Etro (and I may be wrong about this) is specifically in the ff 13 universe. The only thing I can say is, just because we have seen a few videos of the game and have yet to see anything that substantially ties the two worlds together means absolutely nothing. It could be subtle connections or perhaps a huge story point that they do not want to spoil till you play it.
I wonder why everyone is getting so worked up about his attitude. Ok yes it definitely is not the smooth Dante we all remember, but the point to this is that it takes place BEFORE the original Devil May Cry. It takes place before 3 even. The idea of playing Dante as a teenager is kind of interesting, and the prospect of watching him grow is very appealing to me. Now, I am not psychic...I don't know that they will create enough character growth to make it worth the trouble as I see it, but if they do than I am sold. I work with a lot of teenagers (I am a high school math teacher) and I know that yes...a lot of teenagers talk like this. I have also seen kids grow from foul mouthed hellions to mature versions of themselves. Having said that, I am hoping that this is the portrayal of Dante as a loudmouthed-hate the world-angry-teenager growing into the Dante we all knew and loved. I may be wrong about all of this and it is going the way of Bulletstorm (as someone has already mentioned) which would be a shame. But you have to imagine...Dante was not always Dante...if they are making a believable character...then it is possible he was not likable as a younger person and maybe they are going for that. Sorry I know this was a lot. Just had a lot to say on the matter. Hope I am right, but who knows. Here's to hoping.
