Watching this trailer mths ago is what made me want to go buy the 1st! Always been a Castlevania player but overlooked it due to all the games we've been bombarded w/it! 1st time seeing this trailer & from the looks of it, if that's Gabriel he has no recollection of his former self.
I actually looking forward to the game. Looking at some new characters and that gold winged knight kinda makes me think that Heaven is getting involved with the story which I like since Hell was somewhat part of the story in the first game. I like the reboot somewhat more than the original series. Simple story arch. Beginning, Middle, End. Wish they'd make a movie out of it.
looks promising and when it releases, then can really say how good or bad the game really is. its just a trailer so not going say it looks good or bad until then.
wow looking nice! those were in game graphics there. i just hope the voice changes for dracula. he needs a "darker" deep voice IMO.
"Now is the time to put aside your weak human side, and join ME into remaking this world!" (Dracula, SotN)
Castlevania on PC! It's gonna be epic. Not very satisfied with Dracula's voice actor. Needed someone better.
yeah so looks like the 1st...konami go half way to making a decent, dark, tense, atmospheric game then somehow manage to strip all that away with samey, generic gameplay and design with dull, well, non-existent "exploration"...how anyone could call it that in the 1st game, or worse, "epic" is beyond me. what, because its a long game? Hack and slash on the rails, posing as an exploratory game is balls; if it were up close and personal, like a ninja gaiden, or dmc it might work, but watching your little sprite bouncing around off invisible walls is yeah, balls. Cherry on the cake though was the naff story-telling and characterisation esp. of protagonist.
Oh and is this set in the modern era? if so, balls
I've always thought the Castlevania series looked interesting but never played any as I play on PC (my loss) so I'm glad to see that it's going to be released on PC too. Thought the trailer looked good & I'll certainly keep an eye out for it. Hope it's on Steam too.
Honestly I wish they would just make an old school side scrolling Castlevania again all the new ones really just dont feel like Castlevania anymore not that they arent good games just not Castlevania... just imagine a SOTN style game with amazing art/graphics I would def buy that in an instant.
@theperm No, just you...
The DLC is meh. But it does flesh out how he becomes so powerful.
@wizardboyus You are kidding right?
@natanaj You suck.
@pari1 Well, you feel that way cuz of your crappy understanding of successful acting and only people with a name like "Crapcom" can agree with you. The voice acting is done by Robert Carlyle who is a famous actor/voice actor and I spotted him by just hearing his voice once in the trailer. You could've said something like his voice doesnt fit Gabriel and I kinda would agree with that. But the voice acting itself is nothing short of amazing.
A beautiful work of graphics. Raising the bar a bit from the previous version. A very interesting evolution of the series. The character design is very clear and powerful. I hope to see a broader critique but it is a great job from the computer manufacturer. : D
@291403171981 wow, primera vez que veo un comentario en español en gamespot
@broost1 you sound like someone who likes to complain. a lot.
@broost1 Haters gona hate. You speak of many balls, im guessing more than you can handle
@davsonamission I don't think they even know how to make side scrollers anymore lol Unless it's Street Fighter or a lil arcade Digital Download. Truthfully, it might be extremely hard to get a 2D side scroller published. Publishers want/need the big dollars! 3D open world!
