I would say the vast majority of games i play on the 360 are shooters. Halo 3, Bad Co. 2, and MW2 are the most played games for me on my 360. I don't even own a shooter on the PS3.Theres nothing wrong with it, and thereare plenty of great shooters, but most of the library isnt that deep really compared to ps3. I mean, I see people here talking about stuff like ace combat and banjo kazooie like they addthe missing varietybut they dont and nobody played them.

[QUOTE="gensigns"][QUOTE="Hahadouken"]PS3 missed out on a whole year and is that close to 360s TOTAL library?Hahadouken
Actually, it's really kind of sad coming off the gigantic PS1/PS2 juggernaut, with piles of cash to buy studios left and right, to currenty grasping to get to second place.
How does last gen factor in? You are comparing the PS3 to your own made-up expectations of what it should have been at launch instead of it's competition. The way I look at it, for the PS3 to be "doomed" in 2007 and a laughingstock, nobody touch it POS (even the mainstream media was buying into it), to be essentially neck-and-neck with the 360 is not too shabby. My glass is half full. I'm just doing this to counter-balance the silly argument anyway, neither console has an outright "better" lineup, it all comes down to personal preference and to suggest otherwise is illogical. Guy A likes the 360 lineup better because of Gears, Mass, Halo. Guy B likes the PS3 lineup better because of Uncharted 2, GoW3, MGS4... who is right? Both of them. Or you can be smart, buy both consoles, then you can be like me who likes the 360 exclusives worlds better than the ps3 exclusives, but still plays the ps3 exclusives for laughs and giggles. Most console shooters I don't have much of a problem with, even being primarily a PC player, I can still hold my own pretty well. But the auto aim is just insane on some of these console games, take Bad Company for instance... when you use the iron-sights or red dot, etc in that game on consoles, enemies are like magnets to your sights.DragonfireXZ95Bad Company has massive auto aim? Wow, i must be used to MW2 on consoles or something. There is some ridiculous auto aim in that game. I actually thought the auto aim in Bad Company was extremely small almost to the point of being non existent.
Yeah i was the same way when i started playing console games. After a while you get used to it. I even like using a controller now more than i do a keyboard and mouse. Though for sniping a keyboard and mouse is way better.A few days ago, I paid a visit to Best Buy (I wasn't planning on buying anything) and I walked over the PS3 display. They had a demo unit running, so I picked up a controller and played the Uncharted 2 demo.
The demo loaded up, and despite how awkward using the controller was to control the main character, I managed to get through the part where the main character avoids a truck pummeling at him down a narrow alleyway.
The next part of a demo featured a gun battle. I pressed R1 (or R2?) to enter into the aiming mode. The lack of precision from a controller astounded me! No matter how hard I tried, it was difficult to get a bead on the enemy. The enemies kept moving around and tossing grenades at me, so I eventually ran out of ammo and died.
Question is: Coming from a PC gamer who is more used to the keyboard and mouse way of aiming, how do you guys ever manage to aim?
I am not disaparging the controller in any way... Controllers certainly have their place in certain game genres, but you have to agree, aiming feels very awkward on a controller. I hope the next generation of motion controllers rectify this problem before I get my hands on a PS3 next year.

[QUOTE="XboximusPrime"]Better sales don't mean a better system, either. True, but you would be foolish to disregard the sales numbers.*looks at the fact 360 is still beating the PS3 in sales* Yeah, better graphics dosent mean better sales or even a better syestem.

In my opinion, i dont care about your opinion that GOWIII has better graphics than we will ever see on the Xbox. I own God of War III and its boring as all get out. Uncharted 2 is a better poster game for ps3 than God of War. Better gameplay, better story, better graphics.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ug-FMNpISaU&feature=channel
I really don't think that the 360 will ever see a game that can compare graphically to this, whilst the ps3 will keep pulling ahead....
