All i can say is WOW.

If any of you guys who are constantly looking for a new RPG and end up being dissapointed then you have to take a peek at this one.

I went in with very little hope (Im a bit of a graphics whore as well as an RPG nut)

But i have been astounded.

The game is a remake of one that was originally released BEFORE FFVII, but boy can you tell now where the stepping stones were laid.

The dungeouns can look a little ps1 ish at times, and at first that may put you off, the story also, is a little cliched. There are even a few typoes here and there as speech is fully text based.

However, the game is absolutely fantastic.

The ways of managing dungeons are ingenious, extremely innovative for the time, and still ahead of some of the (powered for stunning graphical effects) RPGS that we see today.

Although the game is somewhat linear (not nearly as much as some i could name) the depth to which the player feels like it is his/her own adventure is unreal.

There are tons of stuff to do, and although the fights are turnbased, random, there is a slightly different feel to them as they can be avoided quite often if so required.

The battles themselves can become a litle tiring, but the animation for the summon type magics are gorgeous, and the boss battles can take a little working out, and are quite often on the lengthy side. Something to get your teeth into!!

The story (though cliched like i said) is endearing for the most part, and although not all characters are loveable, one or two of them will definitely have you rooting for them.

There are tens of sidequests/plots, and puzzles to take a look at, and the potential for huge amounts of exploring.

Battle arenas, towns, ships, airships and even underwater dungeons.

I picked up this game with huge reservations, and am thoroughly addicted which i never would have imagined.

I am a huge Tales Series fan, and if i were to liken Wild Arms Alter Code F to anything it would be in a similar vane to those.

Definitely worth a play.

So, like i say, if you have looked this one over because of its age issues or anything else, but are constantly on the lookout for a good RPG, I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME ANY FURTHER.

I think it has just jumped somewhere into my Top 5 Ever.

Oh, yeah, pretty early on, you won't have the magic i allude to above just yet.

This was a hard fight for me.

I ran around a lot if i remember, and this may have been one of the fights where a quickening/summoning thing might have come in handy.

Keep trying, run around the back of the dino a lot and use your quickening, frustrating but do-able.

I forget who Tiamet is also but you can never be underlevelled imo in FFX11

One of the Magics (i'll let you find out which one) pretty much makes you invincible fom the second you have it for all characters.

Just follow the Leveling grid the one way once you know which magic.

Its this that really lets the game down imo.

I can understand the appeal of this type of game to many gamers.

But for me, ALL Grand Theft Autos are Extremely Overrated and Boring.

Same goes for that awful glitchy clone of theirs, Bully, or Cane the Edit or whatever.
