@Ovirew We'll, let's be more logical, here. If you had the Wii U version, and your friend came over with his 3DS, can't you just both play on the Wii U ? Wouldn't that be better anyway? Notable problem would be getting used to a controller if you usually play 3DS. Of course, the layout on a 3DS is almost identical to a pro or classic controller, so maybe not so much an issue. Oh, if you were talking about play over Wi-fi, you probably could've skipped all that. I don't think anyone was expecting cross-play over the internet...were they?
@YearoftheSnake5 Locally is always better, but when that's not an option, it's always a priority to make online play as awesome as possible. Maybe they'll have voice chat...
I was going to guess Pokemon, but since it's otherwise...F-Zero, or a new IP. Also, did anyone else consider the Rayman Challenges a F2P? I always thought of it like that.
@WantYouBad DLC? How dare a company introduce such a thing? Nintendo would be the first!...Not. And I find that highly doubtful. All DLC that Nintendo has ever introduced has only been there to give a single player more gameplay for him/her self, not an advantage over others over Wi-Fi. All-Stars, anyone?
