@yukushi: It'll be great, it'll be like training mode. It'll play half speed and no dunks.

Sigh...I was excited for this until "Pay to speed up progression." Oh well, that saved me 70 bucks.

This will be the death of Nintendo I think...Playing anywhere isn't that compelling on it's own...ask Sony about the Vita. The gamers that do want to play anywhere have better options right now. Streaming from a powerhouse PC, or NVidia shield, etc...

The games aren't that compelling either...we're getting a Zelda, great...and then game of the year edition of Mario Kart 8 and some EA games, um, did I mention Zelda?

The reason the Wii took off was it's inclusion of Wii sports...that was solid gameplay and immediately accessible by EVERYONE...hell, my grandparents got in on it for while...it was nuts. Had they rode that wave, and just created more content for Wii sports, they would have been rolling in cash.

The Wii U was targeted at the moderate gamer, who frankly, lost interest in Nintendo a long time ago. The Switch is targeted directly at the mobile user who doesn't want to carry around another device. I've had every Nintendo system (minus the virtua-boy) so far, but I'm skipping this one. The games aren't unique enough to warrant the purchase, and if I'm that serious about mobile gaming, I'll buy an 11" / 13" gaming laptop.

Nintendo really missed everyone with this release.

@facts23: It wasn't the timing of the release...The tech test was terrible and they ignored the feedback from that test...sure they threw out bredcrumbs to the returning players, but the reality is they broke the core formula. Instead of fixing that and listening to the feedback, they ignored it.

You reap what you sow.

Maybe next time you have a successful game, don't mess with the core formula and dumb it down for the Overwatch crowd.

TF2 is just not as engaging as the first one and the sales reflect that. The customization isn't as deep, the 3 lane maps are boring, and the Titans with user replaceable batteries is a terrible idea (both for game mechanics and story mechanics).

TF2 is simply a mediocre game, it's sales reflect that.

Meh...I'm a long time Nintendo fan, and I think I've owned all their systems up to this point...this is the first one I'm going to skip. There's no compelling reason for me to buy yet another DS. Now their flagship titles are slipping...

So many excuse for why this game failed...The moral to the story is it's just not as good as the first one. The gameplay isn't nearly as deep, and they nurfed the things that made the original, well, original.

The sales reflect the poor design choices they made with this game. DLC isn't going to save it.

If it's over 300$ sell all your Nintendo stock.
