I am playing the game now and, yes, it is definitely a challenge. But it is a challenge in the same way that the original Doom and Quake were. I can also remember getting stuck in a wall or find myself completely outside the map in Doom too. I have a medium power computer, with a 3.0 Gig Athlon quad core and gtx 650. I am playing the game at my monitor's resolution (1280 x 1024) and the game plays fine. A lot better than Doom and Quake played on the computers I had when they were released.
If you read Steam forums, there are constant complaints about the poor optimization of every game that comes out. They all get patched. This game is fun! I agree that the check point system is frustrating, but hey, maybe gamers need some of that. Todays games are not as much fun where you automatically heal all the time. It deserves a lot more that a 5.5
Another vote for the return of Danny. I, not only, learned nothing about the game but you are not at all funny. Get over yourself. If you can't think of anything more intelligent to say than four letter words, then maybe you should look for another career path.
