@jach: Other than games like Pokemon Go, mobile gaming is an activity that does not integrate with the outside world, so focusing entirely on the game is probably the idea that developers have in mind for those video games. I doubt that these playing experiences are meant for walking and brief, one to five-minute experiences.

Average intercity bus trips in the U.S. take up to about an hour and a half due to various stops and transfers. Subway trips in New York City vary from ten minutes to one hundred and twenty minutes. Train trips across Europe may require even more time than New York City's maximum time estimate because it is a larger area. Therefore, other than single stop travelers, mobile gaming communities are not offered the battery life to play the game for amounts of time that would be favorable.

Furthermore, do not be surprised about the game design framework that frequently goes into free to play games. Specifically, the psychological practice called operant conditioning. It is a practice that has been criticized by developers and scholars alike because it is a plan for frequent mobile gaming by manipulating the human brain into thinking that it should continue playing.

Smartphone battery life today only persists for a few hours when watching YouTube videos. A graphically intense video game would probably cost more energy resulting in less time than video playback is sustained. Driving innovation by developing mobile video games with high output would require incentivizing research into increasing battery life. I would say that preserving the environment is as good of a reason as any because the social cause would align with the interest of profit. While I have no plans for investing capital into this game, its relationship to causes that are important in the computing industry is worth considering.

Santos has a fractured skull. Two human being destroying each other is not what Pokemon is about, and I suppose that you could call this the syncretism of advertising. I do not really find it funny when thinking about it.

I think this game looks like something that I may be happy playing for its historical content.

I admit that this mythology is not as interesting to me as it was when I was a teenager. I feel the same about fiction in general.

The mythology of Ninja Gaiden very much reflects Japanese culture. I think that is worth knowing when engaging with this series

Furthermore, it is not political, it is scientific. This is coming from my experience studying psychology in college. Look, I understand there is much going on in the world, and folks would like to maintain many traditions from our past because they have integrity. I would urge you and anyone else who has an issue with free market economics to propose alternatives that would create your own culture. You can condemn culture all day, but if you do not have a reasonable alternative, then it will fail to gain much traction in the mainstream mood of the general public.

As this is a game, I wonder what the purpose of The Sims is. If I understood that, then I could perceive how this decision is part of how that is accomplished.
