@jcnba28 @blueinheaven @PSBEATSALLDEAL @Anema1986 Gamers want power and graphics not novelties. Kids like novelties. If the Nextbox focuses on general entertainment and Kinetic crap I won't be going anywhere near it.
Gamers care about games first and everything else second that's why Nindtendo's consoles will always be a novelty. A handful of Nintendo own brand titles isn't enough.
@jcnba28 @PSBEATSALLDEAL @Anema1986 I'm not speaking for him/her but for my part I was really hoping the Wii U would be next gen just to give Sony and MS a kick up the ass and give them some much needed competition.
Some of us are just very disappointed in how it turned out. I'd rather be buying 3 next gen consoles than 2. I don't need a Wii U I already own a PS3 and a 360.
So... Nintendo. What do you think it will take for people to consider the Wii U a next gen console?
'Well we were thinking of bundling the console with a time machine so people could zip back to 1999 and be totally wowed at the amazing graphics compared to everything else around'.
@Deadly_Nemesis Yeah games on PS3 and 360 with blurry textures and low resolution environments that don't even run at 720p look exactly like what we'll get from games on PS4 at 1080p honestly why are they bothering to make new consoles at all?
They have a hell of a lot to live up to with Planescape in the title. Best of luck to them, PT is still considered to be the best RPG of all time by many, many people. I'll buy this on day of release (something I would never ever do with modern games I'd have to see reviews and gamer reaction first).
Leaving the decision to block used games to publishers is the worst thing Sony could possibly do. Look at what happened when they got a whiff of DLC. They started taking massive chunks out of their games before release and selling them on to the poor saps who bought the original game later effectively charging the original purchaser twice as much for the full game.
They'll do the same this time, thinking we can get money for this game over and over. No doubt they'll get the original purchaser for all the DLC and make any subsequent purchaser pay to activate then charge them for the DLC as well.
There is no limit to the greed of the big publishing companies. It's not a case of 'will' they screw you for this, it's a case of for how much.
