@justthetip: What the F are you on about??? of course every business is about making a profit, they don't give a shit about their consumers as long as the money keeps coming in, making them anti-consumers.

Thank you for mentioning the obvious, captain. smh.

It's possible to want to make a profit while caring about your consumers. CDPR used to be all about that, now they are the polar opposite.

Can't say I've heard of this Amensia game, it looks good though. I wonder if it's anything like Amnesia?

@blueinheaven show me where i denfended everythign about the game ? its obviously you that lack intelligence here, you're the one trying to tear something down you have no clue about , all i said was that you shouldnt be spewing out crap about something you know nothing about, your the defintion of a looser and a troll, i don't carre one bit if the game is gonna be for you or not, just stay off the trolling wagon and go comment about something you care about. over and out not gonna be wasting anymore time on trash like you.

What exactly is it I know nothing about? You're floundering about wildly like a man drowning in a sea of his own bullshit. I know how demanding it is to make a game based on D&D rules and Larian aren't the ones to do it they've shown literally nothing that qualifies them to make this game.

Dreadful storytelling, awful characters, cut and paste game design (DOS 2 is basically the first game with an awful shield mechanic that ruins combat, the only good thing about the first game). Throw in the objects littered everywhere that you have to use the right element on to activate (interesting game mechanic insanely overused and you can bet your life it will be in DOS 3 oops sorry BG3) and they have never used D&D rulesets in their entire history so yeah it's realistic to predict a beloved franchise will turn into a fucking shitshow in their hands.

By the way it's 'you're' and 'loser' I won't go into the fact your whole post is a garbled mess of typos I expect you are in one of those rabid fanboy rages. Life sucks eh?

@blueinheaven: Its D&D 5th edition so yes i know that will actually make it tinto the game, you're just a whiny troll that have zero clue about gaming or life in general, so please crawl back under the rock you came from noone needs you here.

I know what D&D is which is why I can't imagine Larian paying any more than lip service to it. This is not the game to give to a dev like Larian. This game will be DOS 3, they'll just call it Baldur's Gate 3. We'll see where we stand when it releases.

And speaking of what nobody needs I'll be happy to clear that up for you too. Nobody needs a rabid fanboy defending everything about a game that hasn't even been released yet. It shows a shocking lack of intelligence, something you confirm every time you post. Idiot.

Well they presumably were 100% happy with Witcher 3's combat and that sucked ass so I'm not too sure what the problem is here.

What an idiotic thing to say, have you played it? no? well i thought not, its a totally different ruleset, lore, characters, loot, and skillset , jeez if you dont like it and oit's not for you just stay away but stop spewing crap like that.

Have you played it? No? So you have no idea that all this stuff you just pulled out of your ass is actually going to make it into the game? Right?

Maybe you'd kindly consider just STFU then. Good, thanks.

@Daedalus87m: Actually I hate RTWP I much prefer turn based. I was just pointing out the game will play just like DOS which it will.

My disappointment comes from Larian being handed a franchise that's far too big for them. If you think for even a second DnD 5 will get anything more than lip service from Larian well I admire your optimism but let's reconvene here when the game is released and we can both discuss your 'disappointment'.

One area Larian's BG definitely differs from the originals is the original games were released complete there was none of this taking money from people for unfinished early access bullshit, so there's that.

@Berserk8989: Actually it is the same thing. It's DOS with a new name, just like DOS2 was exactly the same game as the first one except they made the combat worse by introducing a tedious shield-depleting mechanic.

So you can expect the same weak characters, the same awful writing, exactly the same gameplay (original BG1 and 2 were RTWP this is turn based just like, you know, DOS?).

So yeah, not so stupid really. I'm not saying it will be a bad game, it will probably be pretty good at least in gameplay, it just won't be a Baldur's Gate game.

This is what happens when your plans to fit microtransactions into your showcase need a bit more fine tuning.
