@fatdaddy_mcfly: The game comes out in three months. If they have nothing to talk about when the game is close to going gold yeah I'd say that's a bit of a problem.
You of course expect nothing so in my book that's pretty much what you deserve. The rest of us have high hopes for a franchise we love but will continue to expect the very best while you settle for a Borderlands 2 expansion pack.

Personally I have played so much Borderlands content, the first game, B2 and all the addons so content fatigue was definitely a thing for me and to see a B3 trailer that basically looks like a DLC trailer for Borderlands 2 well... you can see why I might be a tad underwhelmed by it all.
I think they could have kept the graphics style while updating the engine to something a bit more impressive and they could have maybe emphasised story instead of more 'wacky' characters to carry the whole thing I dunno it was just a bad trailer maybe the real thing is 100 times better. We can but hope.
@Schizycho: There's a Borderlands remaster coming out soon and I think a 4K patch for 2. We should be able to tell if these are just res jumps maybe it's a sign of what to expect from B3.
Like you, I hope the trailer isn't really indicative of what B3 will be. I love the game, just expected a new engine and a bigger visual upgrade but oh well fingers crossed let's wait and see.
@sdzald: I'm not asking for it to be realistic I was fine with the original style but it looks really dated now. I think they should have upgraded the engine: same style but superior detail, it could have looked amazing.
As an example look at Kingdom Hearts 3, still cartoony/animated but it looks fantastic because of the world and the detail and character on the models compared to earlier games.
B3 looks exactly like B2. Seriously WTF have they been doing all this time? They could have made an effort this is going to feel like an expansion to a 7 year old game when it comes out. If that's okay for you well fair enough, I expected more.

My point was they have not modernised the engine they just increased the res and put slightly more detail in EXACTLY the same artwork. It looks like a light remaster of 2, we were all expecting 3, all except your dumb ass that is.
I have never played Anthem or Destiny. What did I say in my post that implied I did? Nothing? Yep, simpleton.
As someone said below this looks exactly like Borderlands 2. This cartoon aesthetic with serious lack of detail was fine on weak consoles at the time but it looks really dated now IMO.
Disappointed. I would be fine with them keeping the basics of the gameplay, the game is great, but visuals are hugely disappointing.
@sotacane: Loved by who? And for what? Everyone laughs at him except Xbots who seem to think buying an Xbox One X to play og Xbox games is a great thing to do.
