@drzaloski that's the problem right there -- you inject gender into your comment BEFORE any mention of gender. My favorite film reviewer was Pauline Kael of the New Yorker; but guess what? she was an imaginative, skilled writer with a gritty nose for details and most importantly NEVER injected her sex(or gender) into her final opinion.

That's called discipline, or by its more recognized name -- professionalism. I welcome more imaginative, open-minded, self-effacing and brutally comical/frank reviewers on this site, males or female.

@DinoFarmBlake wow, you lay your points out with no window dressing -- but still pretty much on target. I've played both Batman games on PC, and I NEVER played them for an involved story. These games were all about setting the Batman mood, in the Batman milieu with the Batman badguys, period. Batman is a brand. These games are all about having a few chaotic fights, using some gadgets and watching some entertaining cutscenes.

So fair question indeed...why a 6?? Non-sequitor review imho. This game follows the same formula that its predecessors got right; so why Deep Six it?? It's a Batman fetish game pure and simple. Set the mood right, get the fighting physics down, and give us some gadgets and coolness -- period.

Agree with Dino -- time for Ms. Petit to reassess video game review criteria -- yet again, sigh.

I hope along with the visual interface overhaul, comes a reassessment of the editorial process, the role of the reviewer and a fresh appraisal/profile of your readers and what they want(besides an integer-based reviewing system lol).

@JBStone1981 @Meteora1991 I can't speak for Meteora1991, but he might be saying that GS has an agenda or bias towards points of view they not only support but advocate.

I have no idea if this event is major news(number in attendance/product announcements), but given that LGBT makes news in other ad-driven outlets, GS probably followed suit. So determining their possible bias in this case is tough.

@TacticaI I understand your point but optimistically disagree. Circumstance&identity often serve as social starting points. At my college, e.g., people from India form groups that do activities together. This event just looks like a big "like-minded" social with gaming thrown in as a focus. Remember GS CHOSE to cover this; hence you're reading about it now(because of the gaming focus).

p.s. I'm sure there's going to be major hooking up too, since 'gaydar' is mostly a moot point lol.
