Jesus, as long as the game has an option to turn OFF that godawful hit-point dmg display, I might be interested. Loved the first one a few years ago.

Last Shadow Warrior didn't have annoying/jarring dmg counters on the enemies, including enemy status bars like Destiny, Division. If he's mentioning Quake or Unreal T, me thinks he's never played them -- maybe he thinks it's cool to mention them lol.

I can't imagine how procedural will work for games like this. The last SW had some plot objectives with design choices to match the mission. Playing a procedural old skool FPS is like playing a varying training map.

Haven't tried this mod yet, but I have played ACM with all the final graphical/AI tweaks -- very playable game and just squeaks by the 7 score as a final assessment, probably more a 7.5 if you're a devoted Aliens fiend, since all the sound effects are source.

@Pyrosa: Well-written point: In a game where you essentially can "fly" everywhere, why add jarring elements like nasty dictators or a pot boiler storyline? I think Far Cry 3&4 pushed the boundary right up to the line of 'splody sandbox' and coherent/compelling storyline.

Push any element past this point, and the entire game fails.

I can't believe Lucas is STILL under that Joseph Campbell "Power of Myth" spell; the path of the Hero is all well and good, but doesn't translate well to writing great characters with memorable quirks and yes, a shady side.

No surprise either that Lucas doesn't bother with the internet or email, since he thinks he knows better. After those last three movies, his hubris ran paradoxically upward; Lucas never sought out why he writes characters so badly and dialogue worse; no he figured people just wouldn't get him.

Even in this article, Lucas has absolutely zero insight into "the other side," i.e., why many fans prefer Han shooting first. With egoism running that high, Lucas would never deign to have at least empathy into an alternate characterization.

Go enjoy your new wife and insane pile of cash from Disney, instead of grumbling about losing the helm.

@crimsonllama: My point was their age doesn't preclude them from picking up a SNES on eBay and playing those legendary side-scrollers AS PER RESEARCH or at the very least -- owning a SNES!

LucasArts game lovers already know about the Super Star Wars games and naturally seek them out; clearly those two or three chaps are not.

So disappointing when these "kids" went blank and silent after Danny asked "Anyone ever play the SNES Star Wars games?"

The three SNES Star Wars titles were amazingly done marvels for their time, offering some of the most entertaining side-scrolling I remember on the SNES with a solid musical score.

Sometimes these guys came off as smug(NEVER Danny though) when they described the games they liked.

And rly? nobody played there played Rebel Commando on PC either?? except for Danny. How is this panel at all authorized to comment on the best Star Wars games.

Props though to them for giving due time to Jedi Knight and its offspring.
