@alpherkaan The "venture out too far" warning/mission fail really breaks the immersion and story flow. I had hoped that FC4 would feature much, much less of that from FC3 and find novel ways to subtly nudge you in "preferred" directions while maintaining an open world.

Think about how GTAIV did this: Although gimmicky, the bridges connecting other parts of the city were initially closed for reasons IN THE STORYLINE, later opening up with thematic consistency. I mean can you imagine "You've strayed too far from your destination Niko! You're now dead."

The next-gen titles claiming true open world need to cleverly circumvent these artificial roadblocks.

@dannyodwyer Thanks for the reply and looking forward to the series.

p.s. Thanks also for your recent FC4 co-op hunting trip where you(somebody) finally points out that Far Cry "skinning" is simply a few knife strokes followed by producing a large morsel of meat! Craft a fondue pot next??

Great job Danny -- good journalism takes you wherever the story is. Had to admit, I was surprised he didn't laugh when he first heard "Taint." I'm sure he gets chuckles every time he describes the organizations. I will still laugh when I'm 93 playing bingo and "69" comes up.

@Wahab_MinSeo Ever since the first FC4 images leaked, I sensed exactly what you're saying. Then the first clips emerged confirming everything to follow, including this 'hunting' video ofc: FC4 differs from FC3 by maybe 0.1%

Even in this clip, the dogs sound EXACTLY the same, animations lifted right from FC3. Such EZ$$$ for Ubisoft to recycle.

Good test: Let this video play and scroll down so you can't see it, only hear it. Indistinguishable from FC3, except for the villager ethnic copy/paste.

For everyone who read the article title and stopped at "...Multiplayer" so they show how hardcore they are by replying with "play Quake 3" (MOAR pro mode!) or "play a PC fps," in all fairness, the article specifically addresses CoD only.

@rsmith124 much, much better 'trollknighting' than the longwinded example I noted a few posts above -- ("morons" don't need a possessive apostrophe though)

It's too bad you entirely missed 90% of what Manhunt does as a game: satirize the voyeuristic tendencies of a public keen on clicking video clips of the newest cams whether they're beatings, robberies or shootouts.

Manhunt was far from a sim(3rd person sim? lol); instead it lowered you into an ever escalating cat 'n mouse maze of stealth and high tension(Halloween-like score) horror. Really, one of the first games considered a "true work of art" by several prestige press reviewers.
