@skiggy34: I don't know about others but for myself as a proud gamer I'm not going to insult the consoles. I just recently as of this year built a new PC so yes it is quite updated and quite powerful but honestly, my old PC that I built in 2007 was as powerful as the PS4 and Xbox One that were released in 2013.

Now there's a disconnect there in terms of what the console manufactures SHOULD have released in 2013 and what they actually did. I have been playing hi definition games on my PC for years and I guess I was naive in believing that both of these systems would be fully capable of running 1080P games at 60FPS as my old PC could. I was proven wrong by both Sony and Microsoft.

Now I'm personally (again not speaking for other PC gamers) OK with these systems being less powerful than 2015 PC's but I find it troubling that we should all be good sheep and be OK with them being less powerful than 10 year old PC's.

I hope that we gamers aren't being too demanding asking multi billion dollar corporations to try and keep up with technology that is over 10 years old but if I'm asking too much than that is fair for you to disagree.

@SolidTy: I'm aware of the DICE engines. It doesn't change the fact that both of these systems are disappointing provided that we waited 7 years between them and their predecessors and they are both struggling to run 1080P. Something that 10 year old PCs were capable of running. These systems are not even two past their 3rd year mark. They are mid level type PC's at best and some might say I'm being generous with that statement.

Wow, I'm used to the PS4 running 1080P and Xbox One fans claiming that it looks as good in 900P as it does running at 1080P on the PS4.

Now we run into a situation where neither console can meet 1080P and they're not even two years old.

As someone that owns a PS4, Xbox One, and PC I've been saying for the longest that BOTH of these consoles are disappointing.

I have recently just built my new PC but the old one before this was built back in 2007 and it was capable of running beyond 1080P just fine without a hitch.

Console gamers, buy consoles for the online multiplayer environments (I love Xbox live for this) because when it comes to updated visuals, both of these systems are giving you the short end of the stick.

@niccodemarini Actually, it's more like the WiiU is the console to get in Japan between the three.

What in God's good name? When is the last time a game got a 10? I'm not buying this. A WiiU game? We all know that the WiiU isn't going to have nearly the success as the Wii did, that honor belongs to the PS4. Why is Gamespot giving a WiiU game a 10? Is it really that good or are they just feeling sympathy for the big N?

Really carried away with this one Gamespot, really carried away. And I'm not a Sony fanboy.

@ferna1234 I'm with you on that one. I remember when sites used to do that. Just take a screenshot and allow us to compare them. Why everyone is going to this video comparison method is beyond me because it's harder to notice the differences in real time. At least in the case of the Xbox One and PS4.

Still, from what I can tell, the console versions are so similar to each other as to not be able to tell the difference unless you were some type of top of the line graphics expert. The PC version obviously looks better than both console versions, which is sad in a way since these systems are brand new and we had to wait 7 long years to get them.

Sigh, I want to believe, but I just don't. We haven't had a good Alien game in eons and this is the same publisher that has screwed up the previous Alien games. Are we really supposed to believe that they've "seen the light" and corrected their previous blunders? Or are they just trying to figure out if they can trick us into giving them some quick cash?

This is where a real journalist website would get with Sega and whomever the actual developers are for this game and grill them on those questions.

@gnookergi @simsumre In honesty, he does have a point. If your PC is a decade old, it's probably time for a modest upgrade.

@RoachRush I don't hate on it one bit. I understand that it's been a great cash cow for Blizzard and I am fine with that.

I just ask that for those of us who grew up on the original Warcraft games that we get our series back. The Warcraft strategy games had great action in the single player mode and also had fantastic online multiplayer value.

I assumed (and found myself to be wrong) that when they first started World of Warcraft, it would be merely another addition to the wonderful Warcraft universe already in existence.

Instead of it complimenting the original Warcraft games it completely took over the Warcraft universe and Blizzard put all of their efforts into working on it instead of Warcraft IV.

It's now been over a decade since Warcraft III and they show no signs of going back to the glory days of one of the greatest action strategy games in the world of PC gaming.
