@bdrtfm: They'll just release games in the territories that have all agreed to the merger. Not difficult as this statement makes it appear. This merger is going to happen now one way or another.
EA Sports should never take Madden's name off of their covers. Next year's cover should obviously have John on it. His franchise of games is one of the biggest selling in the industry.
My brother gave in and gave scalpers money for a brand new PS5 for his sons. I will do NO such thing but unfortunately, as we get closer to Christmas, the scalpers are doing very well for themselves. I attempted to get an Xbox Series X with plans to get the PS5 later but have been unsuccessful. These restocks are worthless as long as they are "online only".
@nabinator: Yea, Mark Hamill stated on camera in multple interviews that this was not the Luke he knew. This went on and on until someone from Disney must have told him to can it. Just mismanagement everywhere from this new trilogy.
They mismanaged all these characters in my personal opinion from Rey, to Kylo to Finn and even Luke.
Rey is overpowered to a ridiculous level, apparently virtually no training and yet is more powerful then Yoda, Anakin, Obi Wan, Mace Windu, and Luke put together.
Kylo is an overpowered too, more powerful then all the Sith of past combined.
They turned General Hux from the serious military commander of the First Order in The Force Awakens into a comedy character in The Last Jedi.
Luke went from the ever shining beacon of hope, always believing in the good inside of people young Jedi into this grumpy old Jedi who actually attempts to murder a young man in his sleep.
I could go on and on, this was not the old Star Wars universe, this is now the Disney Star Wars universe.
This is far too easy and yet retailers make it so complicated. When I wanted to buy a laptop from Best Buy, I went to my local store, they had me make the purchase from my car on their site, they then brought the laptop out to my car. In other words, curbside pickup. So no major coronavirus issues. The way to deal with these scalpers is to send the millions of consoles being manufactured to stores as they have ALWAYS done in past launches. Then, if people want a console, they'll have to physically drive to the store and purchase one from curbside and have it brought out to them. Scalpers can't break that system when it requires you to physically be somewhere in person. This "online only" system is a complete failure for gamers and Sony and Microsoft know it and don't care.
@mirswith: It never really stood a chance of going through. They frequently show up in carts and you might even get to the order/submit screen but trust, the bots will snatch them right out of the carts.
I'm absolutely sick of Microsoft and Sony's "online only" system. I get it, COVID protocols. So how about send them to retailers where people can purchase one from outside the store? In other words, curbside purchase? It's not that hard because these systems are not getting to gamers, they're getting to scalpers. One scalper even told me that I stood NO chance against his bot program. He was right.
